Dario's POV
I walked out of the Carver's Mansion, escorted by two hefty bodyguards. I glanced back at Aubrey, who had her back turned to me as she walked away. I let out a sigh. Bella had really changed. She wasn't the timid and shy lady I used to know, who had always obeyed everything I said.
I was a bit scared. Will having her back be a simple deal? I thought to myself as I walked out of the mansion.
When I arrived at the mansion, my family was waiting for me with expectant faces staring back at me. Without letting me rest, they bombarded me with questions.
"So, did she agree to take you back?" my grandfather asked, his eyes eager for good news.
I shook my head, feeling a bit embarrassed. "No, grandfather. She didn't exactly welcome me back with open arms as I had thought.
