CHAPTER 46

  Dario's POV

I sat in the backseat of the Rolls Royce Phantom, feeling a sense of unease wash over me. The bulky man who had picked me up from the Carvers' mansion was driving, his eyes fixed on the road ahead.

"Where are we going?" I asked, trying to sound calm.

"We're taking you home, Mr. Dario," the man replied, his voice firm but polite.

I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. At least I was going home.

As we drove through the streets of London, I couldn't help but think about Aubrey and our upcoming working relationship. I had hurt her, and now I was going to have to face the consequences.

The car pulled up in front of my apartment building, and the man got out to open the door for me.

"Thank you," I said, stepping out of the car.

The man smiled, his expression softening for a moment. "You're welcome, Mr. Dario. Be careful, okay?"

I nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "I will, thank you."
