Location: Xavier's Private Office, Dubai
AK leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk. His expression remained unreadable as he processed everything Xavier had just told him.
"I need access to that ship," AK said finally.
Xavier nodded. "I've already figured out a way."
He pulled out a file and slid it across the table. AK opened it, scanning the documents inside.
"I'm still the registered owner of Levi Wisdom," Xavier explained. "That means I can control crew assignments. The current chief officer onboard is due for sign-off. I'll replace him—with you."
AK looked up, intrigued. "You're giving me a contract as the new chief officer?"
Xavier nodded. "Exactly. You'll board the ship legally. No suspicions."
AK smirked. "Smart."
The only problem? Chief officers handle navigation and ship operations.
But AK was an ex-Navy officer. He had spent years at sea, and though he hadn't been on a ship in a while, he still knew his way around navigation.
"I just need a week to refresh my skills," AK said.
Xavier smiled for the first time. "Good. You have exactly one week."
