The entity's arm lashed out, a shifting mass of divine energy taking the shape of a blade. Eren barely dodged, rolling to the side as the weapon sliced through the ice like paper.
He reached for his sword—but before he could grab it, the entity was on him.
Faster than anything that size should be.
A massive clawed hand slammed into Eren's chest, lifting him off the ground. He choked, pain lancing through his ribs.
"You are nothing, Eren Vale." The voices dug into his mind, scraping against his thoughts. "You are no god. You will never be one."
Eren's vision blurred. The grip tightened.
He wasn't strong enough.
But then—
A streak of blue light cut through the darkness.
Jace.
Barely standing, barely breathing, but still fighting.
His sword pierced the entity's arm, divine ichor spilling out like liquid fire. The entity howled, its many faces contorting in agony.
Jace's voice was weak, but clear.
"You're wrong." He staggered forward, gripping his sword tighter. "Eren doesn't need to be a god. He just needs to be him."
The entity screeched, its form flickering. It wasn't whole. It wasn't complete.
And now, it was bleeding.
Eren sucked in a breath. If it could bleed—
Then it could die.
