Hey there, translator here! Since it's not my novel, I don't know a whole lot about it, only what I have already read. So far (c50) the story has been decent. Not a masterpiece but not trashy either. The MC is a shameless, pennypinching character. Though he is not completely unhinged or demonic. He has a moral code and mostly acts righteously. The core theme so far has been Slice of Life kind of cultivation with comedy and occasional action scenes scattered about. There have been quite a few introduced female characters, but whether it takes the harem route or not, I'm not sure. If it does go that way, I will update the tags accordingly. And yes like every other cultivation story, MC has a golden finger, which helps him cultivate faster and gives him an edge over the others, but it's not a broken cheat in a sense that MC has to work his brain and brawn to the fullest to get this cheat to work. so far so good... I agree with what the author has written in his review for the most part... the story is not a masterpiece but it feels like a fun read that you can read on the side...
