Downstairs from the Mouri Detective Agency.
"Conan! How could you run out alone in the middle of the night!"
Thanks to Fujino's phone call, Ran was currently holding Conan by the ear, giving him a stern lecture.
She looked like she had just woken up, wearing thin pink pajamas that clearly outlined her graceful figure.
"I'm sorry, Ran-neechan!"
Conan grimaced, putting on an apologetic expression.
"I was just curious about what Kaito Kid looked like, I just wanted to see..."
"That's no excuse to run out alone in the middle of the night!"
Ran took a deep breath, her voice rising slightly.
"Don't you know it's dangerous for a child to run out alone at night? Especially near where that Phantom Thief 1412 was supposed to appear!"
Originally, Ran had been relieved that Conan seemed uninterested in Kaito Kid, thinking he was reverting to a normal child.
But who would have thought, the moment her guard was down, he'd sneak out at night to chase after some Phantom Thief 1412.
When she first realized Conan was missing, Ran had been terribly worried.
If Fujino hadn't called to say he was bringing Conan back, she would have called the police.
She couldn't understand why Conan was always so mischievous and thoughtless...
Conan scratched the back of his head sheepishly.
"Ran-neechan, I'm fine, aren't I?"
"What if something had happened? How would I explain it to your parents?"
Ran sighed tiredly, looking at Conan's unrepentant face.
Last time too, and the time before that... If it weren't for Fujino-senpai, I don't know what would have happened to Conan.
Thinking this, she turned and bowed slightly to Fujino beside her.
"I'm so sorry, Fujino-senpai, making you bring this child home specially..."
"No... No problem, it was on the way."
Fujino averted his gaze slightly, waving his hands quickly.
Ran was currently in her pajamas, which were generally thin and loose... Terrifying.
After composing himself, Fujino took three tickets from his pocket, changing the subject. "By the way, I have a few tickets here for Okino Yoko's concert tomorrow. I remember Uncle Mouri quite likes Okino Yoko."
"Tickets to Okino Yoko's concert?"
Ran took the tickets, glanced at them, and realized they were premium seats. She looked surprised.
"Premium seats must be expensive... Are you sure it's okay to give them to my dad?"
"It's fine,"
Fujino waved dismissively, explaining, "I know Okino Yoko, she gave me these tickets. I don't really know any Okino Yoko fans nearby, and it would be a waste if they went unused after the concert."
"In that case, thank you very much, Fujino-senpai."
Ran smiled lightly and tucked the tickets into her pajama pocket.
"Oh right, Ran, one more thing..."
"Eh?"
As Ran looked puzzled, Fujino leaned closer to her ear and whispered, "I think I mentioned before, Conan-kun might have some psychological issues."
"Fujino-senpai, I think you did mention that..."
"Looking at Conan now, the problems I mentioned before seem to have gotten worse."
Ran paused, stunned.
Recalling what Fujino had told her previously about Conan's psychological state, her brow furrowed slightly.
"I understand, Fujino-senpai."
Ran nodded, then turned her gaze towards Conan, a hint of seriousness in her eyes.
'What on earth did Fujino tell Ran?'
Feeling their gazes on him, Conan swallowed nervously.
The next morning, April 1st.
Fujino and the Mouri family arrived at the Beika City Concert Hall for Okino Yoko's concert.
The premium seats were located directly in front of the stage, offering a clear view of Okino Yoko.
Looking around, countless fans waved glow sticks, cheering wildly.
"As expected of a top idol..."
Fujino murmured, taking in the spectacular scene.
Honestly, this was his first time attending a concert.
"Yoko! Yoko! Go go go!"
Uncle Mouri, sitting beside him in the premium section, waved his glow stick enthusiastically, looking completely out of place among the surrounding fans.
Ran sat next to Kogoro, her face flushed with embarrassment due to her father's odd behavior.
As for Conan, he deliberately sat next to Fujino, looking like a husky guarding its food.
And so, the concert continued until 9 PM.
After the concert ended, Ran and the others headed home first.
Fujino, however, was called to the dressing room by Okino Yoko's manager.
"Yoko-san?"
Navigating the backstage area, Fujino found the singer's dressing room. Pushing the door open, he saw Okino Yoko sitting on the sofa, sipping green tea.
She was still wearing her pink performance outfit. After singing all day, faint traces of sweat glistened on her forehead and temples.
Beside Okino Yoko sat a mysterious-looking person with long hair, wearing work clothes, a hat, and sunglasses.
However, based on Fujino's keen observation, that person wasn't male, but female.
How could he tell...?
"Detective Fujino, you're here."
Seeing Fujino enter, Okino Yoko smiled lightly, then introduced the person beside her, "Minami, this is the Detective Fujino I told you about."
Hearing this, the woman disguised as a man stood up, sounding somewhat excited, "So you're Detective Fujino! I've seen you in the newspapers!"
Fujino paused, hearing the voice.
Why does that voice sound so much like the Death God elementary schooler?
Could it be...?
Pondering, Fujino walked over to a single armchair near the sofa, sat down, and then asked the woman named Minami,
"Could you possibly be Takayama Minami, the lead singer of the popular group TWO-MIX?"
"Oh my, you recognized me!"
Takayama Minami took off her sunglasses and hat.
"I didn't expect you to see through my disguise so easily. Truly worthy of a famous detective."
"Just basic detective skills,"
Fujino replied modestly with a slight smile. "Besides, Ms. Takayama, your voice sounds very similar to someone I know."
"Very similar?"
Takayama Minami frowned, looking utterly confused, clearly not understanding the implication behind Fujino's words.
Ignoring Takayama Minami's confusion, Fujino got straight to the point.
"Ms. Takayama, since you're here, you must have a case you wish to commission, right?"
"That's right, I do have something I'd like to ask Detective Fujino to investigate..."
"I think... recently, I've also been troubled by what Yoko-chan mentioned... those obsessive fans."
