Humble beginnings

Kaelion lay in his small cradle, alone in the little room. His mother had gone out to attend to her daily duties—whatever they were—but he was somewhat relieved. The embarrassment of being breastfed and cleaned had finally passed.

It didn't feel great being an 18-year-old mentally but treated like an actual baby. Then again, technically, he was one now.

Sigh.

That aside, he finally had a moment to himself. Now, he could explore the mysterious system that had attached itself to him and figure out exactly what it had to offer.

How do I even go about this? Do I just say 'status' or something?

"Notice: There is no need for verbal commands. You need only think of what you wish to inquire about."

Okay, that's convenient. So… what exactly can you do?

"Received. Due to the memories you possess, I am Raphael, Lord of Wisdom. I—"

Wait a minute… You mean that Raphael? The one from Tensura?

"That is indeed an accurate deduction. If—"

Whoa, whoa, whoa, pull the brakes! Isn't that too busted? Don't tell me I've been reincarnated into Warhammer 40K or some other insane universe.

He immediately panicked as his tiny heart almost leaped out of his chest.

"I would appreciate it if you stopped cutting me off mid-sentence, but rest assured, you are not in Warhammer 40K or any other "overpowered" universe as you fear."

That response put his mind at ease. Then, he realized Raphael's tone carried a level of personality—almost human-like. It reminded him that she wasn't just a cold, calculating AI.

Alright… so, I kind of forgot most of your abilities aside from 'All of Creation' and 'Thought Acceleration.' Been a while since I watched the show.

"Received. I will now list my functions:

Thought Acceleration: Allows the user to process thoughts and perceptions up to a million times faster.

Analysis: Enables the user to analyze and assess any target.

Parallel Thought Processing: Separates different tasks into individual processes that operate simultaneously, each running at accelerated speeds. Any number of thoughts can be processed at once.

Cast Annulment: Removes casting requirements for magic, allowing for instant use.

All of Creation: Grants complete understanding of all unconcealed phenomena.

Synthesis & Separation: Fuses or separates different targets. The original object may disappear if it lacks a physical form.

Alteration: Allows modification of any skill the user possesses.

If further clarification is required, please ask."

WAAAH!! WAAAH!!

All Raphael got in response was a baby's cry. In reality, Kaelion couldn't stop laughing internally. He had finally remembered why this ability was so broken. He didn't need further explanations—he was just grateful to have it. As long as he didn't die young, he had nothing to worry about.

---

The past two weeks had been enlightening.

The first thing he had learned was his name—Kaelion Varis. It was strange to his ears, yet it felt right.

The second was that he had been reincarnated into a world of dragons and incestuous rulers—Westeros.

That had been a shock. But, well, he didn't mind being reborn in a low-level fantasy world. He'd take this any day over some nightmare realm like DC or an overpowered universe where he'd be nothing but cannon fodder.

Another revelation was about his mother.

Yes—just his mother. In the two weeks he'd been alive, he hadn't seen a father around. And if you're wondering about the quotation marks around "mother," it was because he wasn't sure how to feel about her.

Did he kill her child to take over his body? If not, was she going to be okay knowing that her baby was mentally an 18-year-old, practically her peer?

Of course, using All of Creation, Raphael could answer those questions instantly. But Kaelion didn't have the courage to find out.

I guess there's a downside to being nigh-omniscient.

Sighing, he cast the thoughts aside. Future him would deal with that problem.

Instead, he turned his attention to what he had learned about Sienna Varis, his mother.

She was no ordinary woman.

Sienna had once been an alchemist's apprentice—a scholar who studied under a master in Essos before circumstances forced her to Westeros. She had knowledge, valuable knowledge, but she was also an outsider here, struggling to find her place.

Their home was modest—a small stone house in the lower districts of Oldtown, far from the grand Citadel where the Maesters hoarded their wisdom. Despite their simple life, she had skills far beyond what most commoners possessed. She acted as a healer for the sick in their neighborhood, often for little or no pay. She did it out of the kindness of her heart.

Just the other day, she had provided medical care to a man who had fallen into a ditch.

But while she was undeniably talented—Raphael had even praised her—Kaelion couldn't ignore the glaring inefficiencies in medieval medicine.

And that gave him an idea.

With Raphael's knowledge and guidance, he could revolutionize medicine. If he could get the right resources, he could advance their methods by centuries.

Of course, a part of this desire was also guilt.

He wasn't sure if he had stolen her son's body, but if he had, then the least he could do was give back in some way.

And changing their livelihood seemed like a good place to start.

Thankfully, the foundation for his ambitions was already in front of him. The books and scrolls his mother had managed to collect lined their shelves, waiting to be read.

Kaelion couldn't wait to devour them.

And when he was done absorbing all the knowledge available?

The world would not be ready for what came next.
