The Council of Twelve sat in stunned silence, their faces pale and worried. They had never seen anything like this before. Arin's vision had shaken them to their core.
Finally, Erebus spoke up, his voice trembling. "We... we need to discuss this further," he said. "We can't make a decision yet."
The other council members nodded in agreement, their faces set with determination. They knew that they had to be careful, that they had to consider all the implications of Arin's vision.
As they deliberated, Arin stood tall, his eyes fixed on them. He knew that his fate hung in the balance, that the council's decision would change the course of his life forever.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the council members reached a decision. Erebus stood up, his face grim.
"Arin, we have decided to acknowledge your claim to the throne," he said. "But we will not recognize you as the Sovereign yet. You must first complete a series of trials, designed to test your power and your worthiness to rule."
Arin's face fell, his heart sinking. He had been so sure that the council would recognize him as the Sovereign, that they would see the power and the potential within him.
But as he looked at the council members, he saw the doubt in their eyes. They didn't trust him, didn't believe that he was ready to rule.
And so, with a heavy heart, Arin nodded. "I accept," he said. "I will complete the trials, and I will prove my worthiness to rule."
The council members nodded, their faces set with determination. They knew that the trials would be difficult, that Arin would face challenges he had never faced before.
But they also knew that it was necessary. They had to be sure that Arin was ready to rule, that he had the power and the wisdom to lead the universe.
And so, with a sense of trepidation, the council members dispersed, leaving Arin to prepare for the trials ahead.
