chapter 5

The command

Daki reached the entrance of the club, ready to step inside when a large hand suddenly blocked her path. She glanced up to see a muscular guard standing in front of her, his expression firm.

"Name?" he asked, nodding toward the guest list.

Daki narrowed her eyes. She understood the words but didn't comprehend why she needed to give a name. The concept of *entry lists* was unfamiliar to her. Her gaze flickered to the paper in the guard's hands. She didn't have time for this.

Without hesitation, she let her power seep into her voice. "That one," she said smoothly, pointing at a random name.

The guard's eyes darkened with suspicion. "That guest just entered a few minutes ago." His tone was sharp, not easily fooled.

Daki's smirk faded slightly. So, not all humans were so easily deceived. Before she could react, someone pushed past her, causing her to step aside.

Woo Joon.

"Woo Joon," he announced confidently.

The guard's demeanor instantly shifted. "Welcome, sir." His voice turned polite, respectful—completely unaware that the man he had just greeted so warmly was a police officer.

Woo Joon smirked at Daki before stepping inside, his confidence dripping with amusement. He had seen her struggle at the entrance and was clearly enjoying it.

Daki's fingers twitched. Anger burned in her veins, but she quickly reminded herself—she wasn't here for petty human games. She had a mission.

She turned back to the guard, her eyes glowing faintly. "Let me in."

This time, her voice carried a command laced with demonic energy. The guard's expression instantly softened, his body stiffening as her will overtook his mind.

"Of course," he said blankly, stepping aside to let her through.

The moment she entered, murmurs filled the air. The club was exclusive, a VIP-only space where only the most powerful and wealthy were invited. Yet she had walked in effortlessly.

One man, who had been rejected earlier and was sulking in a corner, took notice. He had seen the way Daki had looked at the guard—seen something change in his eyes.

An idea formed in his mind. He straightened his posture, walked up to the guard, and mimicked her exact stance.

"Let me in," he said with authority, trying to force the same effect.

The guard blinked, unimpressed. He turned to his fellow bouncers. "Throw him out."

Within seconds, the man was lifted off his feet and dragged away, screaming in protest.

Daki smirked to herself as she stepped further into the club. Foolish humans.

Her real hunt was just beginning.
