The jungle hummed with tension as Di Yalan faced off against one of the two remaining assassins. The third had already fallen earlier, his body left behind in the undergrowth. This one, a lean figure cloaked in black, laughed wildly as he brandished his dagger. "Bitch! Too damn hot! Haha! But I love it!" His voice dripped with mockery as he danced around her, his blade a blur of steel.
Mu Yu Die huddled nearby, clutching her zither with cold, trembling hands. Her eyes darted between the fight and the shadows, panic tightening her chest as she wrestled with a desperate choice.
The assassin's dagger moved with lethal grace, light as a feather in his skilled grip. It gleamed faintly in the dim light, clashing against Di Yalan's short sword. Each strike forced her back, her slender frame trembling under the pressure. His Yuan Qi surged stronger than hers, overwhelming her defenses with every blow.
He toyed with her deliberately, a cruel grin splitting his face as he prolonged the fight. Di Yalan's fury blazed in her eyes, but she couldn't spare the breath to curse him. She poured every ounce of strength into her sword, barely holding her ground.
"Sister, need any help?" Yang Kai's voice cut through the chaos, casual and teasing, as he emerged from the woods. He held a dagger loosely in his hand, his gaze wandering over Di Yalan's torn skirt—her thighs and hips peeking through the shredded fabric. "Round and smooth, plump and cute. Too good! Terrific!" he praised with a smirk.
Di Yalan shot him a startled glance, her arms still locked in combat. "You bastard! How did you survive?" she snapped, stepping back to catch her breath.
The assassin froze, his pale face twisting as he turned to Yang Kai. "I knew those fools couldn't handle you,"
Yang Kai spat, his grip tightening on his dagger. "What do you think?"
Yang Kai stepped forward . With a sudden shout—"Kill!"—he lunged, his dagger flashing. Di Yalan, spurred by his arrival, raised her sword and struck at the assassin from the opposite side.
The assassin's expression darkened, fear flickering in his eyes as he retreated a step. Yang Kai seized the moment, darting forward like a leopard, his dagger aimed for the man's throat. "Fight with me!" he barked at Di Yalan.
Though rattled, Di Yalan steeled herself and joined the assault, her sword slashing in tandem with Yang Kai's strikes. A fierce glint sparked in his eyes.
With a roar, Yang Kai pushed his speed to the limit, a blur of motion as he closed the gap. His dagger glowed with a faint blue light, stabbing toward the assassin's neck like lightning. The blades met with a sharp clang—the assassin's dagger intercepted Yang Kai's, and a jolt of dense Yuan Qi surged through the contact, numbing Yang Kai's arm. He pulled back swiftly, shaking off the shock.
The assassin spun like a gust of wind, his dagger deflecting Di Yalan's sword as it came from behind. "I'll fuck you as hard as I can!" he snarled, his face cold and vicious.
Yang Kai's breaths grew heavy, his feet stomping the earth as power surged through him. In an instant, he crossed ten meters, fast and mighty as an arrow. The assassin's dagger wove through the air, forcing Di Yalan into a pained retreat, her arms aching from the relentless onslaught of his superior Yuan Qi.
A murderous intent flared behind the assassin as Yang Kai closed in. With a brutal swing, the assassin drove Di Yalan back, then snapped his leg forward, kicking her smooth abdomen with explosive force. She flew seven meters, crashing to the ground, blood spilling from her mouth as her Yuan Qi scattered, leaving her defenseless.
The assassin turned, his dagger raised with a savage grin. "Kid, I'm gonna slice you into a hundred pieces!"
Yang Kai charged like a loosed arrow, channeling all his Yuan Qi into his dagger. Shadows of the blade rained down, a cold, vicious aura enveloping the assassin. With a thunderous bang, their weapons collided, and Yang Kai's dagger flew from his hand, landing dozens of meters away. The assassin staggered back, equally shaken by the ferocity of the blow.
Knowing he couldn't retrieve his weapon in time, Yang Kai made a split-second decision. His eyes turned icy as he rushed forward, wrapping his arms around the assassin's waist. With a surge of strength, he lifted the man and hurled him toward Di Yalan, shouting, "Raise your sword! Stab!"
Di Yalan, sprawled on the ground, saw the dark figure hurtling toward her. Summoning her last reserves, she thrust her short sword upward with both hands.
"Puuuuh!"
The blade going to pierced the assassin's heart. He jolted awake with a scream, flailing wildly as he tried to regain his footing. The sword, lodged in his chest, tilted his body awkwardly in the air, his legs rooted as if by magic.
"Bastard! Let go!" the assassin roared, thrashing against Yang Kai's iron grip. "The sword's in me—it'll stab you too! Let go! You want to die with me?"
Yang Kai smirked, unshaken. He knew his immortality would protect him. With a desperate twist, the assassin drove the sword deeper, the blade slicing into Yang Kai's side as well. Blood sprayed, but Yang Kai held firm, his wound already knitting closed. The assassin, however, had no such gift. His struggles weakened, his eyes dimmed, and with a final shudder, he slumped lifeless atop Di Yalan's sword.
