She spat bitterly, "I'm the sister who's been by your side for fourteen years! How could you hit me over some dead girl?"
Zoran gripped Ivy's throat with one hand, his eyes blazing red. "What dead girl are you talking about?"
Ivy choked out, "That massive fire... Aria must've been burned to ashes by now. What's the point of keeping that useless heart—"
Before she could finish, Zoran slapped her twisted face again.
With her face swollen and bruised, Ivy started spewing words recklessly.
"Why does Aria always get the best of everything? When we were kids, the orphanage director and all the other kids loved her! Now she's dead, and she's still trying to steal you from me!"
Zoran tightened his grip on Ivy's neck.
Ivy's face quickly turned purple, her breathing labored.
"You're the one who stole Aria's life!"
Ivy struggled to speak, uttering each word with difficulty, "But... you're the one... who hurt Aria!"
Those words sent Zoran straight to hell.
