Chapter 9

Zoran's breath suddenly hitched, instinctively wanting to open his mouth to deny it, but I softly interrupted him.

"You don't need to rush to deny it, just listen to me first. That day when Aria sprained her ankle, you cradled her foot with a face full of concern. But I'm only two years older than her, yet you turned a blind eye to my injuries, saying I was used to it."

"But Zoran, I've been boxing since I was four. Getting hurt has long been a regular occurrence for me. However, you once looked at me the same way you looked at Aria that day. Zoran, I don't know if you've fallen in love with Aria, but I do know that you don't love me anymore."

Zoran's tears began to fall in large drops.

"I haven't... I really haven't... Please forgive me just this once, I'm begging you, Faye."

I smiled slightly. Liar, still lying even now.
