After securing Jianjia, Luoshu couldn't help eyeing the rest of Omega-12.
Barbie had brought ten reality benders—effectively ten SCPs ripe for harvesting.
So far, he'd only contained Aiolos and Jianjia.
Eight more to go.
If only he could "add them all as friends."
But without a plausible pretext, approaching the others—especially Barbie—was risky.
The Omega-12 commander was paranoid, her distrust of Luoshu palpable.
Even with Persuasion or Self-Deception, winning her genuine friendship seemed impossible.
(Self-deception was harder than he'd thought. Maybe Fernand could teach him.)
For now, Jianjia would be his gateway to the others.
After some small talk, Luoshu left for work—unaware that Barbie was watching him.
She turned to an operative: "From now on, you're on him."
The man nodded, then closed his eyes.
When they reopened, only the whites remained.
Simultaneously, a pair of phantom pupils materialized above Luoshu, tracking his every move.
The Plan Proceeds
Luoshu spent the day uneventfully at the dice-rolling chamber, but his mind raced.
Tonight's the night.
After three days of prep, the path to SCP-058 (Dark Heart) was clear:
All surveillance cameras along the route were now his mechanical eyes.
No more distractions.
At dinner, he sat with Jianjia again—avoiding suspicion.
She eyed his grin. "You look... excited. Planning something fun tonight?"
(Misinterpreting his expression as romantic eagerness.)
Luoshu deflected: "Just work going well."
Jianjia wasn't fooled. "Then why's one of us missing? Someone's watching you."
(The white-eyed operative was back at base, blind but all-seeing.)
Luoshu dismissed it—probably another SCP-939 stakeout.
"Wolf" plan complete. Time for the real mission.
Midnight Moves
At 2 AM, Luoshu's terminal alarm woke him.
As he washed up, Omega-12 mobilized.
The blind operative narrated: "He's up... dressing... leaving..."
Unaware, Luoshu drove toward SCP-058's unit, giddy.
Finally, the Dark Heart.
What ability would it offer?
Could he befriend it?
But first, survival.
SCP-058 was:
A temper-prone chatterbox (worse than SCP-035).
Destructive (could shred steel plates).
Mentally corrosive (Foundation mandated: "No listening >30 mins").
Key questions:
Were its attacks targeted or AoE?
If targeted, Unobservability would protect him.
If AoE, one hit = death.
What did its babbling do?
(No fanfic logic here—only official docs mattered.)
Time limit: 30 minutes.
Showtime
Luoshu parked near SCP-058's unit—a reinforced chamber with hourly steel-plate replacements.
Inside, a mass of pulsating tendrils thrashed against the walls, muttering incessantly.
"You think you're clever? I've crushed smarter! The last guy begged—BEGGED!—before I—wait, who's there?!"
Luoshu activated Unobservability and stepped inside.
The tendrils whipped past him, oblivious.
Good—targeted attacks.
Now, the hard part: befriending a homicidal loudmouth.
