Mission 3

The ten-second countdown passed in an instant, and the nuclear detonation arrived as scheduled.

In that moment, Tianjin Acorus Hospital collapsed after a violent tremor.

Simultaneously, all nearby electronic devices were hit by radiation interference—phones bricked, computers blue-screened, appliances spewed smoke...

Minutes later, major global media outlets released the news: "A shallow-focus 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck Tianjin, China. Due to geological conditions, Tianjin Acorus Hospital suffered severe damage, with casualties unknown."

Those in the know recognized this as the Foundation's official cover-up.

Back at the "earthquake" site, minor collapses still sporadically shook the ruins of Site-CN-06, particularly around the morgue.

Before long, the tremors near the morgue finally ceased. From above, a transparent dome with a diameter of ten meters became visible.

Inside this barrier were the operatives of Achilles' Heel and Pandora's Box—all protected at the center by "The God."

Yes, this was the spatial barrier he had deployed to shield the operation's personnel.

As for Site-CN-06's underground facilities and the aboveground Tianjin Acorus Hospital? They were left to their fate.

Once the situation stabilized, "The God" immediately turned to "White Eyes." "What about Luoshu? Can you still sense him?"

"White Eyes" trembled uncontrollably.

What had just happened shattered his worldview.

He never imagined that with a single phone call from "The God," Site-CN-06 would actually be nuked!

No evacuation orders—aboveground or below—just a direct, merciless detonation!

How many people had just died?

Sure, "White Eyes" knew that in extreme Keter-class containment breaches, the Foundation sometimes had no choice but to resort to nuclear measures.

But witnessing a nuclear strike firsthand? This was his first time.

The real question was—was it worth it?

Achilles' Heel, as the first MTF to clash directly with Luoshu, knew exactly what he had done.

So what if he infiltrated Area-14, Site-CN-02, and Site-CN-06?

...And yeah, he killed "Cupid" and "Remembrance."

But let's be real—casualties were part of the job for Foundation MTFs.

Even most Euclid-class anomalies had body counts.

Did the Foundation drop a nuke every time?

Was this really necessary?

Sacrificing hundreds, maybe thousands, of lives at Site-CN-06 just to eliminate Luoshu—was that really the right call?

"White Eyes" wanted to scream the questions at "The God." But he was a coward. He didn't dare challenge someone who could annihilate an entire site with a wave of his hand.

So he obediently activated his ability, searching for Luoshu's presence.

"Sir... I can't find him. It's like he's no longer in this world..."

Beside him, Barbie let out a relieved sigh. But as her gaze swept over the surrounding ruins, her expression twisted with guilt, and she couldn't help but glance at "The God."

It wasn't just "White Eyes." Nearly everyone present was stunned by "The God's" actions.

Sensing the confusion among the MTF operatives, "The God" reluctantly explained, "Don't worry. The people of Site-CN-06 won't stay dead. They'll all come back."

He didn't specify how—whether through mechanical resurrection or the Regenerative Axe.

But here's the thing: would the "revived" really be the same people?

Of course not. They'd just be clones with the dead's memories, living their lives in their place.

Deep in the underground facility, hundreds of charred corpses lay slumped at their posts.

They had been loyal Foundation employees in life. Now, they were left to rot beneath the rubble, crushed under collapsed debris.

In one corridor, Abel's corpse decayed at a visible rate, crumbling to dust within minutes.

The moment his body vanished completely, a dull thud echoed from SCP-076-1 aboveground—the sound of a coffin lid slamming shut.

Then came the metallic clank of chains tightening, winding around the coffin, sealing it shut.

Finally, SCP-076-1's containment door locked itself automatically.

Abel had begun his next cycle of "rebirth."

Who knew whether he'd hate "The God" or Luoshu more when he woke up again?

The commander of Pandora's Box sighed wearily. "Since Luoshu's gone, we should pull out..."

Staying any longer on the ruins of Site-CN-06 only made him feel more like a villain.

No matter how "evil" Luoshu was, he'd only killed a few people.

"The God" had just wiped out hundreds with a single order.

As Pandora's Box withdrew, "The God" teleported away, leaving only Achilles' Heel behind.

In an unnoticed corner, Aeolus wore a sinister grin. "The Lord won't die so easily! He'll return!"

If Luoshu had heard him, he'd have scolded, "Wrong line! You're making me sound like some final boss!"

At this very moment, Luoshu was inside an isolated space, facing a banner that read:

"Welcome back to the dating sim This is My World's End! Proceeding to Mission 3!"

No surprise here—the moment Luoshu realized he couldn't escape Site-CN-06 before the blast, he'd activated the ability of Anomalous Item-CN-1451: "My World" (Apocalyptic Galge Edition).

And so, here he was, back in the game world, about to tackle its third mission.

Why Mission 3?

Because last time, he'd skipped straight to completing Mission 2's objective—conquering the entire city.

Five seconds later, Luoshu materialized in the central plaza of the ruined city.

Time here hadn't progressed with the real world. Everything remained frozen at the moment he'd left.

Most of the city's gang members were gathered in the plaza, celebrating their unification.

To them, Luoshu's sudden disappearance and reappearance might as well have never happened.

So... what now?

The most annoying thing about this damn game was the complete lack of prompts. The story was entirely open, clues had to be found independently.

If he couldn't figure out Mission 3's objective, Luoshu might be trapped—or die—inside this game forever.

Just then, a devout follower, the "Elder," suddenly knelt at Luoshu's feet, his voice trembling with grief.

"O Prophet! What's wrong?!"
