"The World Is Dying"

Fresh from his profound reflections after leaving IR1705, the name of the next reality bender gave Luo Shu a shock—"The World is Dying"!

Could Area-13 really hold so many secrets?

But upon entering the unit, he realized he'd overthought it.

This "The World is Dying" was just a terminally chuunibyou reality bender.

Of course, it was also related to his ability:

Prophet.

Con artists, cult leaders, and prophets were essentially the same—all experts at bullshitting.

But when reality-warping powers were involved, it became scary real.

"Do you know? The world is dying! This is my prophecy!"

"The World is Dying" was also a motor-mouth, immediately launching into his spiel the moment Luo Shu entered.

Or maybe he'd just been locked up too long and needed to vent.

Luo Shu asked curiously, "How much time is left?"

"24 billion years!"

"..."

Luo Shu was speechless.

The universe's lifespan is estimated at 24 billion years. Anyone with basic astronomy knowledge knew that.

But you call yourself a prophet and this is your grand revelation?

Then I'm a prophet too, since I know the sun has 5.4 billion years left.

Seeing Luo Shu's skepticism, "The World is Dying" hastily added:

"Don't underestimate 24 billion years! For humans, it's an eternity—but for gods, it's fleeting. A single kalpa for a god is 311.04 billion years!"

So, you're living a human lifespan but worrying about divine timescales?

Luo Shu decided not to waste time here. He just wanted to "add friends" and leave.

Initially, he'd hoped to ask about his own future—whether he'd uncover the truth. Now, he'd lost all interest.

"Friend! I'm intrigued by your ability! Let's be friends?"

"The World is Dying" frowned. "No! I see calamity around you! Your past and future are shrouded in chaos..."

Yeah, no kidding.

I do bring disaster, and I'm tangled with the Insurgency.

But don't make me force you.

Luo Shu's eyes narrowed. "You sure you won't be my friend? If not, choose: enemy, disciple, or puppet."

Enemy? He'd die, fueling Luo Shu's Anomaly Slayer Milestone.

Disciple? A quick Divine Persuasion would do.

Puppet? Mental Domination it is.

Feeling Luo Shu's malice, "The World is Dying" trembled—then appeared in The Anomaly Archive.

[Item Designation: The World is Dying]

[Object Class: Euclid/Tier-2 Reality Bender]

[Description: A doomsday cultist. His words warp fate, influencing those who hear his prophecies.]

[Special Containment Procedures: Soundproof cell. Minimize interaction. If he prophecies, knock him out. Nothing good comes from his mouth.]

[Anomalous Properties: Prophet. The art isn't predicting—it's deciding. 'I prophesize your death tonight'—just stab you. Death is the easiest prophecy. Power scales with Hume levels.]

[Status: Contained]

[O]

This guy…

Folded from one threat. Not just cowardly—pathetically so.

Reading his ability, Luo Shu realized it was less prophecy, more curse.

By warping a target's luck, he could make his 'prophecies' come true.

Though theoretically, it could also grant good fortune—but this guy was a doomsayer, hence his containment.

The ability's strength scaled with Hume levels, meaning it was useless against stronger beings.

As a Tier-2 reality bender, "The World is Dying" stood no chance against Luo Shu—hence his instant surrender.

Similarly, Luo Shu could only use this to flex on normies or weaker anomalies. Against "The Administrator", it'd be worthless.

Another filler ability.

Moving on.

Stalker

The next target was Stalker—a name that perfectly described his ability.

In theory, he'd be a great fit for Achilles' Heel, complementing Aiolos and "White Eyes" in intelligence work:

Aiolos: Infiltration

"White Eyes": Tracking

Stalker: Surveillance

But as an outsider with a criminal record, he'd been excluded.

(Author's Note: What Stalker did? Let's just say I don't want knives in my mail.)

[Description: A creepy stalker.]

[Special Containment Procedures: None needed.]

[Anomalous Properties: Stalker. Creates low-Hume paths tracing a target's movements. Perfect for solving crimes—but he uses it to follow women. Wasteful.]

This ability was redundant for Luo Shu—SCP-096's tracking was far superior.

Plus, Luo Shu disapproved of Stalker's actions, so he didn't offer friendship—just subjugated him with Divine Persuasion.

With Stalker added, Luo Shu's Anomaly Lord Milestone now listed 10 anomalies—but it didn't level up.

Disappointing, but understandable.

Four entries were child laborers (SCP-CN-722-2/4/6/7), counted as one ability (Fake Spatial Tunnel).

Thus, the milestone only recognized 7 unique anomalies3 short of leveling up.
