Great news 😀

At Berly and Mandy's house.

"So..., how was it?"

" It went well I guess, I was told to expect a call this evening."

" Oh, alrighty then".

"Can you please help me with the spray from the first aid kit". Berly said taking off her shoes.

"Why? Did you sprain your ankle?" Mandy asked approaching with the spray.

" Yeah I bumped into a crazy guy at the company, he doesn't even know how to say sorry, can you imagine that". She complained taking the spray from her.

" Hope you didn't fight with him Kimble Berly!".

" No he wasn't even worth my time and besides I needed to keep a good impression about myself at the company".

" You didn't fight him? Was he handsome, alluring?" Mandy asked suspiciously smiling at her.

Berly threw her a disgusted glance

" I didn't even study his face".

Mandy was totally disappointed

" Oh right, you keep blowing your chances of getting a boyfriend". She said and went upstairs

" What's up with her? I saw his face clearly but was just too angry to study it". Berly said pouting

" He's too pesky anyway ". She added and continued what she was doing.

Mr Liam's Office

Fred entered with a file on his hands

" Sir, the background check on the lady from before is out".

Liam looked up immediately

" Let me have it." He opened and started reading while Fred summarized .

" Her name is Kimble Berly, no parents, a sister who's still in highschool, lives with her friend Heller Mandy. Previously worked with Eros movie entertainment company until last month when she quitted because of an issue I couldn't find out. She's currently among the people who were interviewed this morning for the office of the secretary and..."

" Are you serious?" Liam immediately asked smiling.

" Yes sir ". Confused Fred answered

" Send a message across to Ms Ashley, she should be hired". Liam said giving him a pass.

" Sir?".

" You heard me ". He said smiling sinisterly

" Yes sir ". Fred said bowed before leaving

" Kimble Berly, interesting ". Liam said as he spun on his chair 💺 facing the large window.

'Grrrrrm ! ' 'Grrrrrm! ' 'Grrrrrm

" Arrrrgh! Who's that?" Berly complained drowsily as she sought for her phone, eyes tightly closed.

" Hello?"

" Hello is this Kimble Berly?"

" Yes any problem?" Still feeling drowsy

" This call is from C&C Global Enterprise".

" Huh!" She sobered and sat up immediately.

" We're happy to announce to you that you were among the candidates selected for the office of the secretary, Congratulations. You are to report to work in Ernest by tomorrow morning, congratulations once again ". The other line dropped dead.

For what seemed like ages Berly was on cloud nine with her phone still placed against her ear. Then suddenly;

" Arrrrgh!!!"

She continued screaming and jumping up and down.

" I need to tell Mandy about this". She said dialing her number immediately, after a few rings.

" Hello Berly, do you need me to pick up something for you on my way back? Just send it to me via text am kinda busy now".

" No no no, I need to tell you something, though I do need hamburger from McDonald's. Guess what?"

" C'mon girl you know am not good at that, what is it?"

" Ok just because it's important, I'll let you off the hook this once".

" Ok fine what is it?"

" I finally got in!"

" What? You mean the interview you went for?"

" Yes!! Yes!! "

" Oh my God am so happy for you baby girl congratulations. You know what? This calls for celebration, once am back we're going out".

" Hell yeah! I need to go shopping now"

" Why? We still have a lot of groceries for the week ".

" Not that, I need to shop for some new clothes . I can't go to my new company like my old self. They need to know that am no more the old Berly people knew ".

"Y-e-a-h, great just don't go around causing trouble ".

" Sure"

" See you at home my secretary ". They both laughed and hung up the call.

" Hah! This feels good". Berly said as she started preparing.
