Successful business

She hesitated a bit before asking, " D-Dear customer, could you please elaborate a bit? I'm afraid I can't disturb the managers without proper information."

Adrian silently stared at the woman for a while. Even with his hood on, she could feel his piercing gaze, which made her very uncomfortable. She could only hope that her words hadn't managed to offend this individual.

She was only in the initial stage of the Qi Condensation realm. The bottom rung inside a large city like Stonehold City. She had to be careful not to offend powerful individuals unknowingly.

After clearing his throat, Adrian replied.

"Tell them it's about a rank 3 beast."

The waiter's eyes widened as she heard Adrian's previous remark. This seemingly inconspicuous individual was actually here for business relating to such a powerful beast. She quickly composes herself before bowing slightly and scurrying off to inform her managers.

It only took a few moments before a middle-aged woman is sitting in front of Adrian. Her eyes scan Adrian curiously as she tries to ascertain the authenticity of the 'business deal' that was brought to her attention.

From the looks of things, Adrian only seemed to be in the middle stages of the foundation establishment realm. However, she was very skeptical about that. Someone at that level couldn't have hunted a rank 3 beast.

The only possible explanation she could think of was if he was working for someone else or if he was hiding his real cultivation level. Based on her experience, she was leaning towards the latter. I mean, that's only natural based on his strange demeanor and hooded attire.

"Greetings, dear customer, I was told you have some business you would like to conduct with us." She begins the conversation with a smile on her face. It didn't matter to her who the man in front of her was as long as he brought good business.

Adrian nodded his head slightly before speaking. " I have a rather large rank 3 beast for sale. I would like to know if you're interested in purchasing it."

The woman raised an eyebrow after listening to his words before inquiring.

"When you say large, how large are we talking about here? And what type of beast is it? We won't be able to purchase anything that can't be used to feed people." She shot both questions forward simultaneously.

Adrian remained unfazed as he answered her question. "It's a Stoneveil Crocodile. And as for its size, you should know how big they are when they reach the third rank."

The woman's eyes narrowed after listening to his reply. She had retracted her aura before even meeting him, but it seemed that he could still sense something. A trace of interest arose in her heart before responding with a warm smile on her face.

"How much would you like for your goods?"

There it was. The question that Adrian had been waiting for this whole time. Even though he didn't show it, the whole encounter was nerve-wracking for him. Especially when a person in the Nascent soul realm came in front of him. In truth, he didn't expect someone at that level to come for such a small deal.

However, what he didn't know was that the general manager, who had been bored this whole time, managed to overhear that a waiter was requesting the presence of a manager because of a business deal.

Adrian paused for a moment before responding in the same monotone voice.

"How much are you willing to pay?"

The woman, who was a bit caught off guard by Adrian's response, let out a light chuckle before replying.

"There's no need for all this haggling. Goods like that have fixed rates that they go for. The early stage rank 3 granite crocodile would typically go between 100,000 and 120,000 low-grade qi stones. I am willing to offer you 100,000 Qi stones. What do you think?

Adrian's eyebrow furrowed. He could tell that she wasn't lying to him since he had done his investigations. However, the price she was offering still disappointed him a bit.

"You just said they could go for 120,000 qi stones. Why would I sell it for less than that?

He asked.

The woman didn't mind his accusatory tone and explained gently.

"You will only get that price if you bring back a live granite crocodile or if there are no injuries to the body. Are your goods in such pristine condition?" She asked with a smile on her face.

Even though her tone was still pleasant, the words she spoke weren't. Killing a beast without any injuries to its body could only be done by killing it in one move or by directly attacking its soul. However, soul skills are very rare and can only be found among the large sects and families.

Of course, she couldn't have imagined that a member of one such family was sitting right in front of her.

She didn't believe that the person in front of her, whose strength was only at the Foundation Establishment realm, could provide goods of such quality. The amount of power required to kill a beast in the third rank was not something to be taken lightly.

Even a Golden Core realm cultivator would be unable to achieve it. Only someone at the Nascent Soul realm or higher could achieve that. Someone at that level wouldn't bother themselves with a puny Rank 3 beast.

Anyway, her words made Adrian realize his naivety. He was still too inexperienced.

He let out a deep breath before responding to her words. " We have a deal."

A broad smile was plastered across the woman's face as she spoke up.

"Wonderful. Please follow me to the storage room where you can unload your goods and receive your payment."

She stood up and led him towards the back, where a large, empty warehouse was located.

With a wave of his hand, the huge carcass appeared in the warehouse. The woman's eyes shone when she inspected the crocodile. Even though this purchase wasn't that significant in the grand scheme of things, it was still a great deal for them.

She nodded her head silently before also waving her hand, and released a pile of qi stones on the ground.

Adrian only glanced at it briefly before sucking everything inside his storage ring.

"Aren't you going to count it?" The woman asked with a bemused expression.

"I don't think such a small deal will warrant any foul play from someone of your caliber."

Adrian responded simply in a monotone voice.
