Chapter 2: The Rise of the Extraordinary Civilization

A boy with a simple and honest face, who wasn't particularly tall, stepped onto the podium with excitement. His hands trembled slightly as he extracted a world coordinate, then placed his palms on the Boundless Boundary Stone.

Moments passed.Wang Bing slowly opened his eyes, his expression blank. His mouth opened and closed a few times before he finally spoke in a dry, defeated voice:

"I… I failed…"

A wave of silence spread across the classroom before someone called the next name.

"Tang Yu!"

"Success! Ordinary world, Martial Arts civilization!"

"Zhang Xiaofei!"

"Failed!"

As the process continued, more than half the students in Class 3 and Class 4 had already awakened their worlds. But the highest achievement so far was just an ordinary Martial Arts civilization.

Though Martial Arts worlds were considered one of the strongest among ordinary civilizations, they still fell short of the truly powerful ones.

Li Ping sighed inwardly. The neighboring Class 3 had already produced two high-level civilizations, while his Class 4 had yet to see any breakthroughs. The comparison stung.

Then, his eyes landed on a particular name in the roster.

"Jiang Qianqian!"

Hope flickered in his heart.

Jiang Qianqian was the top student in the class, excelling in every theoretical exam and ranking first in all simulated awakenings. If anyone in Class 4 had the potential to open a high-level or even extraordinary civilization, it was her.

A beautiful girl with short ear-length hair stood up and walked confidently to the podium. At the sight of her, the class erupted into hushed whispers.

"Finally! Goddess Jiang is up!"

"If anyone in our class can awaken a high-level or even an extraordinary world, it's her!"

"I hope so, but don't jinx it. Even the top student from Class 3 failed. There's no guarantee!"

Li Ping smiled warmly at Jiang Qianqian.

"You probably don't need to extract coordinates from the school, do you?"

Jiang Qianqian nodded slightly. "My parents prepared a coordinate for me in advance."

Gasps of excitement spread through the classroom.

"She has a pre-prepared coordinate?! The last time someone had that, they awakened a high-level civilization!"

"If she's lucky, it might even be an extraordinary world!"

"Tch, you think it's that easy? The higher the civilization level, the harder it is to bind. Even if you have a good coordinate, you could still fail."

"Yeah, would you dare to bind an extraordinary world if given the chance?"

"…Pretend I didn't say anything."Jiang Qianqian took a deep breath, steadying her nerves. Then, she placed her hands on the Boundless Boundary Stone.

Immediately, a brilliant glow surrounded her, spreading like flowing water. The radiance grew stronger and stronger, turning dazzlingly bright.

In the next moment, a vast illusion engulfed the entire classroom.

In their dazed vision, a colossal beast loomed over a boundless land, its roar shaking the heavens. The sheer might emanating from the illusion sent chills down everyone's spines. Then, as quickly as it had appeared, the vision vanished.

The light dimmed.

Jiang Qianqian gasped for breath, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She slowly opened her eyes.

"Success! Extraordinary civilization—World of Warcraft!"

A moment of stunned silence.

Then—

"WHAT?!"The entire classroom exploded into chaos.

"Hiss—! World of Warcraft?! An extraordinary civilization?!"

"That's one of the strongest extraordinary worlds! Its growth potential is insane!"

"She did it! Jiang Qianqian really awakened an extraordinary world!"

Excited chatter filled the room. Some students cheered, some were green with envy, and others could only stare in awe.

Li Ping, meanwhile, could barely contain his joy. Compared to two high-level civilizations from Class 3, one extraordinary civilization was an absolute, undeniable victory.

This was a crushing achievement.

His voice was brimming with pride as he spoke. "Jiang Qianqian, the school has prepared generous rewards for awakening an extraordinary civilization. When this is over, I'll take you to see the principal!"

Jiang Qianqian, still excited, nodded quickly. "Thank you, Teacher Li!"

She returned to her seat amidst a wave of admiration. Then—

"Next… Lin Mo!"

The room quieted.

Some students turned their heads toward the boy sitting near the window.

"It's Brother Lin's turn."

"His performance in simulations was decent. He should be fine… right?"

"I think so, but awakening is unpredictable. Who knows?"Lin Mo was well-liked in the class. His calm and mature personality, despite being their age, had earned him the nickname Brother Lin.

Now, it was finally his moment.

Lin Mo took a deep breath and stepped onto the podium.

Li Ping pointed at the black box. "Do you need to extract world coordinates?"

"Unnecessary," Lin Mo replied with a light shake of his head.

Gasps spread through the classroom.

He's going to search for a world on his own?!"

"That's way too risky!"

In the Boundless Sea, high-level and extraordinary worlds were extremely rare. Even if someone were lucky enough to encounter one, the difficulty of binding and opening it was astronomical.

Most students used pre-selected coordinates for safety. Only a few, either rich, talented, or reckless, dared to reject them.

Li Ping frowned. "Are you certain?"

Lin Mo met his gaze, his voice steady. "Yes."

For the past ten years, he had been waiting for this day. He had already decided.

From the moment he was born, Lin Mo had awakened a system.

Though the system had quickly gone dormant, it had given him one thing—

A set of world coordinates.

A mysterious location hidden deep within the Boundless Sea.And according to the system—only by binding this world on Awakening Day would the system reactivate.

Even if it was just an ordinary world, he had no doubts.

He would open it.

Li Ping studied him for a long moment before finally nodding.

"Alright… then begin your awakening!"

Lin Mo reached out. His fingertips brushed against the Boundless Boundary Stone.

A dazzling light erupted, engulfing him whole.

The entire class held their breath.

What kind of world would Lin Mo awaken?

Would he succeed… or fail?

Would he create an ordinary civilization—or something beyond imagination?

No one knew.

Not even Lin Mo himself.

But deep down—he had a feeling.

Something big was about to happen.
