Chapter 3 :

: Awakening the First Fin

Kaido stood alone in the dimly lit room, his mind a whirlwind of confusion and disbelief. The words spoken by Indar echoed in his head, repeating over and over again: "You must start from the beginning." The First Fin—what did it mean? What power did it grant him? Was he truly the heir to something so dangerous?

His body still felt strange, as though it was no longer his own. His muscles ached in unfamiliar ways, and there was a tingling sensation deep within him, as though something was stirring beneath his skin. Something ancient. Something that didn't belong to him.

He closed his eyes, trying to clear his thoughts. Focus, Kaido. You have to figure this out. You're not the same person you were before.

The memory of the creature with nine fins flashed in his mind. The terror in its eyes. The power it radiated. It had spoken to him before his death, but why? Why had it chosen him?

A sudden burst of energy surged through Kaido's body. He gasped, feeling the rush of strength fill him, unlike anything he had ever felt before. It wasn't just physical strength—it was something deeper, something primal.

Kaido staggered back, trying to regain control over his breathing. This must be the First Fin, he realized. But how could something so powerful be contained within him?

The darkness of the room seemed to close in on him, the walls shifting and warping as if the very space was bending to his will.

Before he could fully comprehend what was happening, the voice of Indar returned.

"To awaken the First Fin, you must push beyond your limits. Embrace the unknown within you."

Kaido's heart pounded. He didn't understand what this meant or how he was supposed to control this newfound power. All he knew was that something had changed inside him, and there was no turning back.

With a deep breath, Kaido focused on the strange energy coursing through him. He raised his hand, the air around it vibrating with a force he couldn't explain. Slowly, he formed a fist, concentrating on the feeling deep within his core.

As he clenched his fist, the energy exploded outward, knocking him off balance. The force sent a shockwave through the room, but instead of fear, Kaido felt exhilaration. I can control this, he thought, pushing himself back up.

Indar's voice rang out again.

"This is only the beginning, Kaido Arashi. The path you walk will be filled with trials, but if you continue, you will awaken the next Fin."

Kaido steadied himself, the pain in his body subsiding as the energy settled. He had felt it. The First Fin had awakened within him. But now the question remained: what would the next Fin bring? And what would he have to sacrifice to awaken it?
