- Some Time Passed... -
"...I know, I know..." Scott dismissed as he stood inside his new apartment, courtesy of his parents.
"You say you know, but you don't seem to listen, honey." Scott's Mom said.
"Chin up, Scott. We'll be around, so if you need anything, just call." Scott's Dad added.
"Like... a new apartment?" Scott joked, weakly.
"Exactly! Like a new apartment. Do you want a car? How about a pony?" Scott's Dad offered.
"No ponies on the third floor." Scott's Mom said as she hugged her son.
"At least you finally have a place of your own." You smiled, patting his shoulder.
"Thanks, guys... I think I can take it from here." Scott forced a smile.
"Don't give up on those dreams, buddy. There's a million girls out there to meet you." Scott's Dad smiled.
"You spoil him, and that's why he's screwed up. It isn't my fault." Scott's Mom muttered.
"Are we done here?" A male voice called from the outside. You went to check and it belonged to a black-haired male with glasses.
"Gideon!" Scott exclaimed, sliding down the stairs' railing.
"Scott, wait!" You cried out, running after him.
Before Scott could strike, you managed to get in front of him and block his strike.
"Boys, don't fight!" Scott's Mom scolded.
"Oh, Lawrence. I forgot about your guitar." Scott's Dad reminded.
"Lawrence...?" Scott looked at him in surprise.
"Dude, I'm your brother. Are you blind?" Lawrence stated. "Thanks Y/N."
"You're welcome." You nodded.
"But... since when do you wear glasses?" Scott questioned.
"Since I was like fourteen, Scott. You're so damn forgetful. Anyway, I just came to get my bass..." Lawrence explained.
"Uh... about that..." You trailed off. "...it's seen better days."
"What?!" Lawrence yelled.
- A few minutes later... -
"Well thanks for that." Scott sarcastically stated.
"He was going to find out you broke it sooner or later. Might as well have been now." You shrugged.
"Whatever..." Scott sighed, taking out the letter from Gideon.
You two looked at each other, not speaking. But you knew what came now. Time to read the letter. Scott ripped the envelope open, and unfolded the letter, and the two of you read.
Gideon -
"Don't wait up for me, 'cause I'm not coming back. It's over."
- Ramona.
"She wrote it... so she must have meant it... but... she never sent it..." Scott thought out loud.
"I guess she was planning on running, and leaving that note, but didn't get to do it." You suggested.
- RING RING -
"...Hello?" Scott asked.
"Hey, Scott. I just thought I'd check up, see how things are going." A male voice greeted. "I don't want any hard feelings, so I figured why not be the bigger man and give you a call."
"Uh... thanks?"
"No problem, bro. See, I'm not such a bad guy after all. Anyway, there's a couple things we should probably talk about, some housekeeping to deal with..."
"I'm sorry, who is this?"
"Aheh, you're kidding, right?"
"..."
"...you're not kidding. Okay, let me break it down for you. We have a mutual friend, see, and she- Ahh, screw it... This is Gideon. When would it be convenient for you to die?"
Without warning, you took the phone from Scott. "Gideon Graves." You started, putting on a serious tone.
"Hm? Who's this?" Gideon questioned.
"Rowe. Y/N Rowe. We've never met before, but you should know my name by now."
"Oh, the friend that's helping Pilgrim. Yes, yes. What is it? Planning to tell me to leave him alone?"
"Heh, you wish. The whole fight for Ramona's love thing? I'm not gonna stop you. Go ahead and make it happen. Because when you do, I'll be waiting."
"Oh? You will? And why's that?"
"Because once you make your move, I'll be able to show you a sight you've never seen before."
"What do you mean by that?"
"You'll see when we meet, Graves. I promise you that."
"Aha, and why should I feel threatened by you, Rowe? I've heard about you. You don't have the heart to kill someone."
"And what if I do? Would you like to find out?"
"Is that a threat?"
"It's a promise. So, I hope you're ready. Because when we meet, and we will, I can guarantee... you're going down."
