"Disha wait for me! You always do this with me! Why can't you just share lunch with me!?" Exclaimed a boy. It was a sunny morning and the weather was sultry, both of the children ran behind eachother in the playground of the school.
"Well, you'll have to beg in front of me, if you want to have my lunch!" Said Disha.
"What? Why should I beg to have my own lunch!? It's my lunch box anyways! My mom told me to eat it by myself, but I still shared it with you and look at you, behaving like a toddler." Said the boy.
"Oh come on Ayan we are not old people! We're still kids! Why are you so ashamed of accepting the truth!?" Asked Disha. "Kids? We are not old but we are not that young either! We are teens! We are literally 15 now and we're in highschool already! Why do you still keep acting like a toddler!? Can't you just act like a teen?" Asked Ayan.
"Hah whatever! I know that we're teens and that we shouldnt act like this. Now stop acting like a crybaby!" Said Disha,as she returned the lunch box to Ayan. " It's ok! Now get off the bench and have lunch with me. And please finish your lunch form tomorrow." Said Ayan.
After 15 minutes, the bell rang and the recess was over. Everyone went into their classrooms, including Disha and Ayan. It was the maths period, and everyone was sad because they didn't like the math teacher much.
After 10 minutes, the math teacher came into the classroom, she walked towards her table, put her books aside and told a child to come in. It was a new student. "So kids, this is your new classmate. Your class teacher was not feeling well, so she told me to introduce him. He's an introvert so I'll introduce him to y'all. His name is Digraj Singh and he will be studying with y'all starting from today. Please treat him with love and respect. And most importantly, don't bully him! You can go sit there Digraj, beside Disha. Now let's resume the class." Said the teacher, as she turned towards the blackboard.
As Digraj went to sit beside Disha, she told him to sit somewhere else. "Uh mam, Disha is telling me to sit somewhere else, so where should I sit now?" Asked Digraj. "Disha, why did you ask him to sit somewhere else? I made him sit with you because you're the 1st ranker of the class. You would atleast be able to help him with the studies. You know that he's a new student, right? So what's wrong in helping him?" Asked the teacher.
"But, mam you promised me that you would let me sit alone, if I became the 1st ranker. It took me so many days to study, and now you're making a random boy sit beside me." Said Disha. "You are sitting alone since 2 months. I can't let you sit alone anymore. All the other benches are already full. Getting the 1st rank was beneficial for you, not me. So let Digraj sit beside you." Said the teacher.
She started teaching again and Digraj sat beside Disha. After 15 minutes, the bell rang and since it was a half day, everyone went home after the dismissal. Disha and Digraj were the only ones left in the classroom. "Hey new kid, when are you going to go home, huh? Can't you just leave early!? I need to close the door, everyone's gone already. And I am getting late because of you!" Said Disha.
Digraj picked up his bag and left. "Hah, I hate arrogant people! He didn't even say sorry, how rude!" Murmured Disha to herself. As she was packing her bag, she found a sticky note which said sorry. Disha smiled after seeing it and went home.
"Mom, I am home!" Exclaimed Disha as she opened her shoes. "So what do you want me to do if you're home? Do you think that you're a queen just because you got the 1st rank!?" Exclaimed Disha's mom, Riya. "Mom, I....I just wanted to tell you that I am home. I...I didn't mean to anger you. I...I am sorry." Said Disha.
"Hah whatever, now go study! Don't think that you can slack off just because your parents are rich. I won't give you a single penny if you don't get a good job." Said Riya.
Disha had tears in her eyes but couldn't show it to her mom. So, she went inside her room, took a shower and sat down to study. "Why the hell do they think so lowly of me!? Do they think that buying me expensive stuff is enough!? Why did they both have to get married if they didn't like eachother!? Why am I a part of this!?" Murmured Disha to herself.
The day ended like this, Disha studied, ate her food, played some video games, had dinner and then slept. The next morning, she woke up, got ready and left for school in her dad's car. People used to hate Disha because of her rich background. They thought that her parents were the reason for her, always getting the 1st rank. As she reached school, her classmates glared at her with the eyes of disgust. She was familiar to this situation, or you can say that, she had a habit of facing these things. So, she ignored everyone and went to her classroom.
She only had a single friend, Ayan, who was rumoured to have a crush on her. Disha trusted Ayan a lot, so she ignored all of the rumours and became friends with him. "Hey, Disha! Why are you so sad today? Did something happen? Do you need a shoulder to cry on? You can put your head on my shoulder if you want to!" Said Ayan, playfully.
"Stop kidding, Ayan! I...I am just sad because.....actually..nothing," Said Disha, in a low voice. "Di...did your mom scold you again?" Asked Ayan. Disha nodded. "Why can't you just report your parents for abuse!? They are verbally and even physically abusing you! And yo...you're tolerating it! This is the worst thing I have ever seen in my 15 years on earth! Atleast try to reach out to your grandparents." Said Ayan.
"You know how my grandparents are, don't you? And...I can't sue my own parents! They are my parents! No matter how they treat me, they'll always be my parents right? Anyways, let's just pretend that this conversation never happened and prepare for class." Said Disha.
Ayan knew that Disha would get angry if he forces her to report her parents, so he went back to his seat. Digraj came after a few minutes too, the class was still empty, Disha didn't have female friends, so she used to come early than usual students.
"Hey new kid, would you like to be my friend?" Asked Disha, randomly.
