The Remingtons and Dante Prepare to Strike First

Dante walked out of Matteo’s office with his pulse still racing. He had played his part perfectly, nodding at all the right moments, keeping his expression just detached enough to seem convincing. Matteo suspected nothing.

But Dante knew the truth—his father was planning something bigger than a simple retaliation. This wasn’t just business anymore. Matteo wanted to send a message. And if they didn’t act first, the Remingtons wouldn’t survive what was coming.

The War Room

The Remington estate was eerily quiet when Dante arrived late that night. Andrew, Evelyn, and Sophia were already waiting in the study, their faces grim.

“Well?” Andrew asked the moment Dante stepped inside.

Dante shut the door behind him. “He bought it. Thinks I’m on his side.”

Evelyn folded her arms, watching him closely. “And what exactly is he planning?”

Dante exhaled. “He wants you to think he’s playing defense. But in reality? He’s planning to take Andrew off the board permanently.”
