- Revelation Plans.

Days had already passed since Leo came, and speaking with the lawyers was quick since they did it via videoconference.

Once everything was agreed upon regarding duties and other matters, Lara and Leo only had to sign. Once everything was said and done, nothing more was discussed.

She stayed talking with Marisol for a moment.

"Leo really wants to do it."

"Yes," she replied, not wanting to talk much about the subject.

"So, when do you plan to return to the city?"

"I haven’t decided yet."

"And how is the house coming along?" Marisol asked.

"Well, Diana keeps me informed. She says everything is ready, and I can go whenever I decide."

"Congratulations. Are you going to continue modeling?"

"Yes, but I don’t plan to live a life of just work. I will balance things out."

"Has Patricio been with you?"

"Yes, he left yesterday. We agreed to meet at my new house."

"Matías?"

"I haven’t spoken with him."

"Are you going to Tamara’s wedding?"

"I think her wedding is this month."

"Yes, so you’re thinking of not going."

"Maybe."

At that moment, Marisol saw through the screen that the grandmother was coming with the baby.

"Is that Thiago?"

"Yes."

"He has your hair."

Teresa nodded.

"He has both of your eyes."

Marisol noticed how tender the baby looked and how beautiful Lara appeared while breastfeeding him.

The two talked a little longer until Marisol had to say goodbye because she had work.

"You’re back, love."

Viridiana greeted as she saw her husband had arrived. They kissed, and Leo placed his hand on his wife's belly, saying:

"Hello, Thiago."

Viridiana was surprised that he said that name.

"Thiago? Love, we decided that if it's a boy, we would name him Oliver after my grandfather or Leonor after your grandmother."

"Sorry, Viridiana, I was just talking to someone with that name, and it just slipped my mind. Sorry," he answered, avoiding the truth behind that name, knowing that he had held his own son in his arms.

Leo kissed his wife for a few moments while hugging her, and for Viridiana, receiving that hug made her think something was wrong with her husband.

"Is something wrong, love?"

"I just want to go to sleep for a while. I'm tired."

"If that will help you… Do you feel sick? Did you eat today?" she asked.

"I don’t feel sick, and yes, I already ate. I'm fine. I just feel sleepy."

"Alright, love, go to bed."

Viridiana watched him go up the stairs to their bedroom. Leo entered, took off his jacket, and lay down on the bed.

His mind was in turmoil, thinking about Santiago, the son he had with Teresa. He had looked at the baby’s picture several times and kept wondering when they would return to the city.

Viridiana was sitting in her armchair, reading a book about babies, with the TV turned off while her husband slept.

She heard Leo’s phone ringing, so she paused her reading, closed the book, and answered without checking who it was.

"Hello?"

"Mr. Connery?"

"Sorry, this is Viridiana, his wife. Who am I speaking with?"

"I'm sorry, my name is Ivette Lanson. I'm his new secretary."

"Nice to meet you, Ivette. Hold on, I’ll call my husband."

"Thank you."

Viridiana got up and went upstairs to the bedroom, where she found Leo still asleep.

"My love, love," Viridiana said, gently shaking him.

Leo began to wake up.

"Yes, sweetheart?"

"Ivette is calling you."

He took the phone and answered his secretary.

Viridiana kept herself busy in one of her drawers while listening to Leo’s conversation.

Ivette had called her boss to inform him that the meeting to close a deal had been rescheduled.

"Alright, thank you. I will talk to Luis."

He ended the call.

"Viridiana, I need to go to the office for a bit."

"Okay, love. In the meantime, I'll heat up the stew Isabel made for us."

"Alright," Leo replied.

He went downstairs to his office, where he sat and called his colleague and friend, Luis.

While Leo talked about work with Luis, Viridiana was already in the kitchen, heating up the pot, which wasn’t very big, but contained the stew.

She placed her hand on her belly while talking to her baby, mentioning the upcoming medical appointment where they would find out the baby's gender. However, they had also decided to have the doctor write it on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope, as they had planned a gender reveal party.

"Did you talk to your colleague?"

"To Luis, yes."

"Did you sleep well, love?"

"Yes, very well. I just needed a little more rest."

Leo started eating.

"Do you trust your brother?" Leo asked.

"I trust Arturo, yes. He will handle the black balloon for the party. He called me this morning and told me he already knows. The decorations arrived today, and the decorators will come to set up the house for the reveal party. We’ll have many friends and guests. Leo, I know your parents are busy people. Do you know if they will come?" she asked, looking at him, hoping they would.

"I called my mom and told her it was important for her to be there. Don’t worry, my love. She will come," he reassured his wife.

When Leo’s parents learned about his engagement to the Forcén family’s daughter at the proposal dinner, they were happy for their son. However, his mother didn’t particularly warm up to Viridiana.

Viridiana knew how important Leo’s parents were to him, and especially for this significant moment—finding out the gender of their grandchild, which would be revealed the following day among good friends and guests.

Leo finished eating and occupied himself by washing the few dirty dishes in the sink.

"Go rest, love. Aren’t you feeling tired?" he said while washing with soap and water.

"No, I'm fine. I’ve just had some cravings."

"What kind?"

"It will sound weird, but I ate brownies with mustard, and you have no idea how delicious it was."

"That’s good, right? That you enjoyed it. As the doctor said, cravings are common during pregnancy, and it’s also mentioned in that book you’ve been reading."

"Yes, I read that pregnancy cravings are common."

They continued talking for a while longer in the kitchen until Viridiana went to rest. After a kiss, she left, and Leo finished up before heading back to his office, as tomorrow was the big gender reveal party.
