The Appearance of the Divine Race

In the street, the bald and muscular man looked at the six purple-haired zombies pouncing ferociously towards him. A bitter smile appeared on his face, and a sense of powerlessness and despair welled up in his heart.

"It's over."

He could handle one purple-haired zombie, but when there were two, he could only run for his life. Now that six of them had appeared all at once, he was simply unable to resist.

"Roar~"

Deafening roars exploded in his ears. The bald and muscular man turned his head and took a look at his teammates who were still struggling bitterly. Two lines of regretful tears streamed down from his tiger-like eyes.

"It's all my fault. If I hadn't brought you guys to Wu Shan City, none of this would have happened today..."

"My good brothers, if there is a next life, I, Liu Quan, will be your servant."

The bald and muscular man suddenly closed his eyes. He couldn't bear to watch his brothers being torn apart by the zombies.

"Damn beasts, die!"

Just as the bald and muscular man closed his eyes and gave up the struggle, a furious roar suddenly came.

The members of the Ningxing Squad had arrived.

Captain Gu Kun let out a furious roar and punched a purple-haired zombie on the back with his gloved fist.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh

Following Captain Gu Kun's furious roar, seven figures rushed forward simultaneously.

"Die!"

Zhao Hai held a crescent-shaped scimitar in his hand and let out a low growl. The scimitar slashed fiercely at a purple-haired zombie.

"Hey, bald guy, what the hell are you standing there for?"

Zhang Wu took advantage of the gap and rushed in front of the bald and muscular man. He suddenly raised the thick shield in his hand and, in the nick of time, blocked the attack of a purple-haired zombie.

Upon hearing Zhang Wu's furious roar, the bald and muscular man suddenly opened his eyes.

"Save my brothers first!"

The bald and muscular man let out a roar, leaped up suddenly, and rushed madly towards the team members who were surrounded by a group of green-haired zombies.

"Take care of yourself!"

"I'll save them. Leave it to me!"

Ke Bei's figure suddenly appeared and blocked in front of the bald and muscular man. Looking at the deep wounds on his body, Ke Bei raised his eyebrows slightly. He stomped his foot hard and leaped towards the group of green-haired zombies.

"Get out of my way!"

Ke Bei kicked a red-haired zombie blocking his path flying. The broadsword in his hand traced an arc and slashed fiercely at the green-haired zombies.

Boom, boom, boom

Three green-haired zombies were sent flying by Ke Bei's powerful and heavy strike.

"Roar~"

"Roar~"

Miserable roars sounded, and suddenly Ke Bei was also surrounded by a group of green-haired zombies.

"Damn it! I told you to get out of the way!"

Seeing that the members from the Free Martial Artists Alliance were about to be torn apart by the zombies, Ke Bei became enraged. At this moment, he finally understood the words that Gu Kun had said. Humans could kill each other, but it was truly unbearable to watch these beasts tear and devour humans.

"Courting death!"

There was a cold glint in Ke Bei's eyes. He suddenly brought the broadsword in his hand to his chest and gently sliced a cut on his right palm. Blood droplets immediately oozed out and flowed onto the handle of the broadsword.

A silver light flowed onto the blade. Ke Bei held the broadsword with his hand stained with blood droplets, took a few quick steps, and the broadsword in his palm, with a dazzling silver light, slashed at the green-haired zombies.

"Puff, puff"

Ke Bei hardly felt any resistance. Six or seven green-haired zombies blocking his way were sliced in half.

"Damn beasts, all of you die!"

Ke Bei rushed forward suddenly. The zombies blocking his way, whether they were red-haired or green-haired, were all chopped in half with a single slash.

"Hurry up and go!"

In an instant, Ke Bei rushed in front of the martial artists from the Free Martial Artists Alliance. He sliced off the arm of a green-haired zombie with a single slash and let out a loud shout.

Ke Bei was like a demon god. His body and face were covered with the blood of the zombies. His strength now was no less than that of a third-level enhancer. With such strength, coupled with the blood-stained broadsword, Ke Bei was truly a force to be reckoned with. These zombies simply couldn't stop his progress.

Ke Bei had always kept the secret that the broadsword would turn into a divine weapon when stained with blood well hidden. He understood the truth that "possessing a precious object can bring trouble." But now he had no choice but to reveal it. His heart wasn't hard enough, and he couldn't just stand by and watch his own kind being devoured by the zombies.

"Captain, you guys go first. I'll hold off these beasts."

Ke Bei rushed in front of Captain Gu Kun, took a look at the purple-haired zombies, and tightened his grip on the broadsword in his hand.

The Ningxing Squad was very powerful, but they couldn't keep fighting with the zombies. Otherwise, once other zombie groups arrived, none of them would be able to escape.

Gu Kun looked at the zombie limbs scattered all over the ground. A glint of light flashed in his eyes. He stared at the broadsword in Ke Bei's hand for a long time before sighing inwardly.

How many secrets did this kid Ke Bei hide? A martial art technique that could unleash all of his body's strength in an instant, and a terrifyingly sharp broadsword.

"Alright. Be careful."

Gu Kun was stunned for a moment but quickly recovered. Now wasn't the time to be amazed. The most important thing was to escape as soon as possible.

"Wang Shan, clear the way. Let's retreat!"

Gu Kun let out a loud shout and punched a red-haired zombie on the head.

"Coming!"

Wang Shan replied in a deep voice. He swept a thick, pitch-black stick as big as a bowl's mouth, knocking down a group of red-haired zombies blocking the street.

"Retreat, brothers, retreat!"

Gu Kun shouted loudly and rushed towards the street exit.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh

The members of the Ningxing Squad and the Free Martial Artists Alliance took a deep look at Ke Bei with gritted teeth and quickly rushed towards the street exit.

"Roar!"

The group of zombies wasn't willing to let their prey escape. With a wild roar, they charged forward.

"Damn beasts, your grandpa is here!"

Ke Bei coldly looked at the zombies rushing madly from the other end of the street. He held the broadsword horizontally in his hand, and a drop of bright red blood dripped down along the handle.

"Kill!"

Ke Bei looked at the purple-haired zombie roaring towards him. He suddenly stomped on the ground and instantly moved sideways for a meter. The broadsword in his hand turned into an arc shining with a cold light and slashed upwards at the purple-haired zombie's throat with a forward grip. The purple-haired zombie actually tilted its head back suddenly, and the broadsword slid past its cheek. It had dodged Ke Bei's blade.

"This purple-haired zombie has a really fast reaction."

Just as Ke Bei steadied his body, a stinky gust of wind suddenly came. Another zombie had opened its huge mouth, with its fangs protruding, and was biting fiercely at Ke Bei's neck.

Ke Bei took a step back to widen the distance and stabbed the zombie's chest with a casual slash of the broadsword.

Then he quickly pulled out the sword and retreated.

"Puff~" Pale green blood spurted out. The purple-haired zombie let out a roar, rushed forward suddenly, and its purple-furred arm smashed into Ke Bei's lower abdomen. With a dull thud, Ke Bei was sent staggering back a few steps.

"Run!"

"If there was only one purple-haired zombie, I could still deal with it. Even with two, although it would be a bit difficult, I could still hold my own with the sharpness of the broadsword. But with six of them all at once, I simply can't withstand them."

Ke Bei didn't dare to linger in the fight. He looked back at the people who had already run out of the street, exerted force with his feet, and quickly fled.

"Ke Bei, over here!"

"Hurry up!"

Gu Kun waved at Ke Bei and shouted loudly.

"Coming!"

The zombies weren't fast. Even the purple-haired zombies couldn't catch up with a second-level strong person when running in a straight line. As long as he wasn't surrounded by the zombie group, there was basically no danger.

"Are you injured?" The members of the Ningxing Squad asked with concern after shaking off the zombie group behind them.

"I'm fine."

Ke Bei smiled.

"Liu Quan thanks all of you for saving my brothers' lives on their behalf."

The bald and muscular man suddenly knelt down and kowtowed three times with a thud in front of the members of the Ningxing Squad.

"I'm a rough person, so I won't say much. When we get back to Lingfeng City, I'll treat you all. I'll invite you to 'Juxing Tower' for a good drink. Please do me the honor then, brothers."

"Let's go. We'll talk about it when we get back."

Gu Kun smiled and helped Liu Quan up.

"Right, let's go back first and get out of this damned place."

Liu Quan wasn't being coy either. He stood up suddenly.

"Let's go."

Just as the group was preparing to escape along the dilapidated road in the city, a loud explosion suddenly rang out.

Rumble

A dilapidated three-story building that had been in disrepair for a long time collapsed with a crash. An eerie figure stood on the ruins, looking down at Ke Bei and the others indifferently.

The figure that suddenly appeared was extremely handsome. His face was angular, and he had a flowing mane of hair. His two eyes were as clear and bright as rubies.

"The Divine Race!"

Captain Gu Kun's face suddenly changed. Looking at the eerie man standing on the ruins, he suddenly took a sharp intake of breath, and then let out a hysterical roar.

"Run! Run for your lives!"

Boom

Upon hearing Gu Kun's roar, everyone's minds went blank. The Divine Race was the most advanced form of zombie evolution. They had the same appearance as humans. Except for their blood-red eyes, they were no different from humans. But their strength was incredibly powerful.

Even the most elementary Divine Race was much stronger than a third-level enhancer. They were on a completely different level, and there was no comparability between the two.

"Run!"

"Run!"

"Run!"

Everyone fled madly in all directions. In the face of the terrifying Divine Race, all they could do was run.
