Chapter 4: Eyes of the Future and Clashes of Titans
Four months had passed since Garp departed Foosha Village to pursue the Rocks Pirates, and Tyson had been non-stop training with Dragon. Their days were a blur of weightlifting stone weights, running laps, and reading the Navy Six Styles.
What really made Tyson stand out, however, was his system a former secret tool from his old life as Jack Fok. Hunched over on his straw bed one evening, the gentle light of the system screen illuminated his face. He'd accumulated 1600 Emotional Points (EP) from training and village life, and it was time to cash them in.
"Okay, system, show me the goods," he grumbled, chafing his hands together. The System Store materialized:
- Observation Haki (Basic) - 1500 EP
- Armament Haki (Basic) - 2000 EP
- Conqueror's Haki (Basic) - 10,000 EP
- Swordsmanship Knowledge (Basic) - 5000 EP
- Stamina Recovery Breathing (Basic) - 5000 EP
- Strength Recovery Breathing (Basic) - 7000 EP
- Recovery Fruit (Minor) - 1000 EP
- Lucky Draw (Basic) - 5000 EP per draw
- Potential rewards: Paramecia Devil Fruit, Strength+10 Fruit, or other rewards
Tyson scratched his chin, grinning. "Observation Haki, huh? Sensing stuff before it happens—that's my kind of edge. Armament's tempting, but I'm not there yet. Let's do it!"
He selected Observation Haki (Basic) for 1500 EP, feeling a warm tingle spread through him as the system deducted the points, leaving him with 100 EP.

"Jackpot," he whispered, punching the air. "Tomorrow's gonna be fun."
Tyson's new Observation Haki buzzed in his head, a faint hum of awareness. Dragon lunged with a quick punch, but Tyson dodged to the side, sensing the move a heartbeat ahead.
"Whoa!" Tyson laughed, striking back with a jab that raked against Dragon's shoulder.
"This Haki stuff's nuts I knew you were coming!"
Dragon grinned, wiping sweat from his forehead. "What's with you today? You're weaving like you've got eyes in the back of your head."
"Call it a hunch," Tyson replied, winking. "Let's go again hit me harder!"
Dragon complied, sending a bunch of punches in his direction. "Keep going, little bro! Don't get too confident just 'cause you're fast!" Tyson moved nimbly around the strikes, his Haki growing stronger with every evade, until he gave Dragon a light tap on the chest.
"Gotcha!" Tyson brayed.
Dragon laughed, breathing hard. "Okay, okay, you're quick—I'll admit it. Where did you learn this stunt?"
"Just intuition," Tyson smiled. "I guess I'm a natural!

Village Chief Ken leaned against a tree, watching with a smirk. "You boys are a sight—Garp'd be proud. But don't break my forest, eh?"
"Wouldn't dream of it, Chief!" Tyson called back, flexing dramatically. "We're just warming up!"
Then, a villager rushed into the clearing, gasping and crazed. "Chief! Help! The Scrafrex Mountain Bandits—they abducted Makino and Ele! My granddaughter and daughter-in-law—they're gone!"
Ken's grin disappeared, his cane thumping hard. "Those scoundrel thieves! We can't let this go on!"
Dragon moved forward, voice firm. "We'll retrieve them, Chief. Tyson and I can take care of it."
"Yeah," Tyson added, cracking his knuckles. "No bandit's gonna mess with our village. Where'd they take 'em?"
The villager pointed shakily toward the hills. "Their cave—up in the mountains! Please, hurry—they're all I've got!"
"Don't worry," Dragon said, clapping the man's shoulder. "We're on it. Right, Tyson?"
"Damn right," Tyson replied, grabbing a stick as a makeshift weapon. "Let's roll, nii-san!"
Across the sea in the North Blue ,
Chaos unfolded as Garp's warship stood before the Rocks Pirates. The air was twisted with storm clouds, lightning lighting up Silver Axe, Second Division Captain, as he stood face-to-face with Garp. Garp's fists glowed with Advanced Armament Haki, as he punched Silver Axe's Haki-imbued battle-axe with a power that rattled the deck.
"Here, you hulking woodcutter!" Garp bellowed, sidestepping a crazy swing and retreating with a spinning kick. "I've crushed larger toys than that axe!"
Silver Axe grunted, parrying on the haft. "Bluster, Monkey! Now let's hear you scream like you scream when you laugh!" He unleashed Silver Crescent Reaper, a giant Haki wave ripping through the air.
Garp smiled, starting off with Moonwalk. "Not today!" He punched his fists together, releasing Counter Protector —a burst of willpower shockwave that ran head-on against Silver Axe's blow, the collision shattering the clouds overhead.
Marine troops stared, whispering to each other.
- Soldier 1 : "How's a Rear Admiral keeping up with that monster?"
- Soldier 2 : "Garp's unreal Vice Admiral strength? Pah, he's Admiral-level!"
- Soldier 3 : "Shh! Don't let him hear you—he'll make us mop the deck with our tongues!"
On a second ship, Sengoku confronted Dezris, the Vice Commander of Silver Axe. Dezris transformed into his Ancient Scorpio Fruit form—his shell shining, stinger dripping with venom. "Time to sting, Navy filth!" he spat, whipping out a venom-tipped strike.
Sengoku converted to his Human-Human Fruit, Model: Buddha state, golden tall. "Have at me, bug!" He used a palm loaded with Haki to divert the stinger, venom fizzle-ing pointlessly against the deck.
Dezris bared his teeth and charged at him with his snapping claws. "I will crack that shinning hide on your back!
Sengoku spoke in his loud, firm yet calm tone. "You will crack first, not I." He delivered a Buddha Shockwave, blasting the deck, cratering it, and launching Dezris crashing into the rail.
At Garp's ship, Silver Axe continued the press. "Stubborn one, Garp!" he barked, driving his axe on Haki-sensed arc. "But you'll be chopped to pieces, all the same!"
"Keep dreaming!" Garp shot back, dodging with Shave and landing a Haki-charged uppercut. "I've fought scarier seagulls!"
A Marine shouted over the chaos, "Hold on, sir! Admiral Steel Bone's on his way with reinforcements!" Silver Axe's eyes flicked to the horizon, spotting a soldier signaling frantically.
"Reinforcements, eh?"
Silver Axe growled, then yelled,
"Pack it up, you curs! We've got the spoils fall back!" His men scrambled, their ships laden with riches from Hico Island.
Garp chuckled, wiping dirt off his coat. "What, departing already? We were just getting comfortable!"
Sengoku, shifting back into human shape, came up beside him, gasping. "Let them go, Garp. They won they struck Hico while we pursued illusions."
"Damn intel," Garp grumbled. "Next time, I'm punching the map guy
first."
Tyson and Dragon trekked toward the Scrafrex Mountain Bandits' den, the rugged hills looming ahead. Tyson's Observation Haki kicked in, a tingling sense of danger guiding him. "I feel 'em—about a dozen, plus Makino and Ele in the back."
Dragon looked at him, impressed. "You're full of surprises today. Alright, let's hit 'em fast."
"Stealth or smash?" Tyson asked, clutching his stick.
"Stealth 'til we're close,"
Dragon whispered, getting down low.
"Then we smash."
They made their way through the bushes, Tyson's Haki evading patrols. Outside the cave, Dragon whispered, "You ready?"
"Born ready," Tyson said, grinning.
"Let's be heroes."
Inside, torchlight flickered over Makino and Ele, tied to a post. The bandit leader—a burly thug with a rusty cutlass—snarled at his crew. "Keep an eye on 'em! We'll ransom 'em big!"
Dragon charged, slamming into the leader with a fierce tackle.
"You're done!" he shouted, trading blows with practiced skill.
Tyson dodged aside, avoiding a bandit's swing—his Haki burning a warning—and punching the thug solidly. "Stay down, buddy!"
He arrived at the captives, cutting their ropes.
"You two all right?"
Makino nodded, her eyes wide. "Thank you! We were so frightened!"
Ele hugged her arm, shaking. "Please, take us away!"
"Stay with me,"
Tyson said, escorting them back.
"Dragon's got the big one."
Dragon parried the leader's frenzied slashes, kicking him in the stomach.
"You chose the wrong village!"
The bandit collapsed, and Tyson cleaned up the rest, his Haki rendering him invulnerable.
"Clear!" Tyson shouted, smiling.
Dragon wiped his hands.
"Well done, Tyson. Home time."

At Marine Headquarters, Marshal Kong pounded a report on the desk, scowling at his aide. "We lost Hico Island due to poor intelligence! Three months running after the wrong damn target!"
The aide flinched. "Sir, they shifted from Krisu to Hico—we didn't anticipate that."
"I don't want excuses!" Kong barked. "Tell the World Government we've got a mess to clean up. The Rocks are laughing at us!"
Back in Foosha Village, the villagers threw a feast for Tyson and Dragon. Chief Ken raised a mug, beaming. "You boys are our heroes! Garp'd be proud—and this stew's damn good, Tyson!"
"Thanks, Chief!" Tyson said, ladling more for Makino and Ele. "Cooking Mastery's my secret weapon."
Makino smiled modestly. "You're great both of you."
Ele nodded, still in shock. "I thought we were finished. Thanks."
Dragon tousled Tyson's hair. "Couldn't have done it without this guy."
As the sun dipped low, the brothers sat on the beach, waves lapping at their feet. Tyson checked his system: 600 EP total after the rescue. "Not bad for a day's work," he muttered.
Dragon nudged him, pride in his voice. "You're getting strong, Tyson. That dodge back there? Slick as hell."
Tyson grinned, leaning back. "Thanks, nii-san. But Dad's out there fighting guys like pirates. I've got to keep pushing."
"Yeah," Dragon said, staring at the horizon. "He's probably punching pirates now, But we'll get stronger together."
