Chapter 38: The Morning After and Godzilla’s Request

As the night settled over the peaceful haven that Black Zetsu had led them to, the group decided it was time to rest. They had traveled long distances, faced strange new creatures, and encountered energies unlike anything they had ever experienced. The little summoning beasts had been tended to and now, as they lay quietly in the serene area, their strength slowly returning, everyone was ready to rest.

Black Zetsu, with his usual air of calm efficiency, created small shelters for each of them. These humble homes were simple, made from the surrounding nature—branches, leaves, and rocks woven together with a natural grace. The structures were small, but sturdy, and as they entered them, the soft glow of the night outside seemed to add an almost ethereal warmth to the air. The animals, too, had made their own little resting spots, curling up beside their new companions.

Naruto couldn't help but feel a sense of peace here. Despite everything that had happened, everything they had faced, this moment felt like a rare tranquility. The little Nine-Tails cub had fallen asleep beside him, the cub's small form rising and falling with each breath, calm and peaceful for the first time since they had arrived.

"I hope they're okay," Sakura said softly as she sat on a small rock outside her shelter, watching her pink lion cub rest. It, too, seemed to be recovering. The dragon cub beside Sasuke was already starting to stir as well, a faint glow returning to its eyes.

"They're going to be fine," Naruto said, his voice full of conviction. He smiled, looking down at his fox cub, which had finally relaxed into a peaceful sleep.

The night passed quietly, with only the soft rustling of the wind through the trees and the occasional distant call of some other creatures. When the first light of dawn peeked through the trees, the group stirred, stretching and getting ready for the next step of their journey. It was a calm morning, the air cool and refreshing.

Sakura stood and walked over to the lion cub, carefully checking on it. "They seem so much better today," she said with a relieved smile.

"Yeah," Naruto agreed. "Look at the little Nine-Tails. He's up and moving again. It's like nothing happened."

The group gathered together outside their shelters, and Black Zetsu approached them, his eyes flickering with something akin to amusement. "It seems your summoning beasts are healed and ready to travel. If you wish, you may go meet King Kong and Godzilla again."

Naruto's eyes brightened at the mention of the giant creatures. "We're heading there right now!" He started off with a grin, and the rest of the group followed, eager to see the two mighty creatures once more.

As they walked through the peaceful landscape, the world around them seemed to hum with life. The energy of Kaguya's world still lingered, but now it felt more manageable. The beasts, their energy more balanced, frolicked around the group, the tiny lion and dragon cubs playing among themselves.

After a short walk, they arrived at a familiar sight—King Kong standing proudly near a massive rocky outcrop. However, this time, they weren't alone. Beside King Kong stood Godzilla, the massive creature looking unusually calm. They were both speaking, their enormous voices rumbling in the air.

King Kong turned toward them first, a low grunt of recognition in his deep voice. "You've returned," he said, his eyes glinting with curiosity. "How are the little ones?"

"They're doing well," Sakura said with a relieved smile, watching the cubs scamper around. "They're back to their usual selves."

Godzilla gave a low, rumbling growl, and the sound seemed to reverberate through the air. It was a sound of deep thought—something more contemplative than his usual monstrous growls. "I have been thinking," Godzilla said, his deep voice booming like thunder. "I want to ask Kaguya to create a family for me."

The group blinked, unsure of what he meant. It was a strange request. Godzilla was the apex of power, the guardian of the land, and yet... he was asking Kaguya, a being with such immense power, for help.

"I don't understand," Sasuke said, his tone thoughtful. "A family?"

King Kong nodded. "Godzilla has been carrying too much chakra for too long. He's the one who balances the energy of the entire island, making sure it's not too much or too little. But it's exhausting. He needs help."

"It's true," Godzilla rumbled, his head lowering to their level, his enormous eyes meeting theirs. "I have been doing this alone for so long. I keep the chakra steady, absorb the excess, and make sure it never overflows. But it's too much for one creature."

The group exchanged glances, understanding now. Godzilla was burdened with the responsibility of controlling the chakra that surged through Kaguya's world. While King Kong helped protect the creatures, it was Godzilla's job to regulate the energy itself. But even Godzilla, as mighty as he was, couldn't bear that weight indefinitely.

"I need others like me," Godzilla continued. "I want Kaguya to create more of my kind—beasts like me, able to absorb chakra and help carry the load. I'm not asking for a simple gift. This isn't for me alone. It's for the balance of the island, for everything that lives here."

Naruto, always quick to understand and empathize, spoke up. "So you want Kaguya to create more creatures like you? Like... children, I guess?"

Godzilla gave a single, slow nod. "Yes. Children to help me. I can't do it alone forever. And I want there to be more of me to help protect this place."

Naruto glanced at his friends. This was a request he hadn't anticipated. Kaguya's world was far more complex than he had imagined, and the creatures here, even the most powerful, had their own burdens to carry. Godzilla's plea for help wasn't born of selfishness but of a necessity for balance, a balance that King Kong couldn't maintain alone.

Sakura spoke up, her voice soft. "I can understand that. You're doing something so important, and it's not easy."

Godzilla's massive form shifted, almost as if in acknowledgment of her words. "I need help, and I am asking Kaguya. She is the creator of this world, and perhaps she will help. If not, I will continue as I have, but the burden will be heavier."

The group fell silent for a moment, reflecting on the situation. Even the creatures they had met, mighty as they were, needed assistance in maintaining the balance of this world. Kaguya's power had created this beautiful, dangerous realm, but even that power had its limits.

"I hope she does," Naruto said, his voice steady. "If you need a family to help with that, we'll support you."

Godzilla's eyes softened, and for the first time, the towering creature seemed almost... grateful. "Thank you. You do not know how much it means to me."

King Kong grunted, his large hand gently resting on Godzilla's side. "He's been carrying this alone for too long. It's time for others to help."

Naruto looked around at his companions, the weight of the moment settling over them. Kaguya's world was vast, full of powerful creatures and energies, and the responsibility of keeping it all in balance was more complex than they could have imagined.

And as they watched Godzilla and King Kong, two of the most powerful beings in the world, contemplate the future, Naruto couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. They had just begun to scratch the surface of this new world, and there was so much more to discover.

But for now, the beasts had spoken, and it was clear: Kaguya's power was not just a force to be reckoned with—it was a force that created complex systems, connections, and, sometimes, burdens.
