Chapter 15: The Breaking Point

The war had truly begun. Across dimensions, the heroes fought battles that could decide the fate of reality itself. Nexus's influence still lingered, and his monstrous creations—the Voidborn, Sentinel Prime, Doombringer, and the Dark Herald—were proving to be more than just remnants. They were the precursors to something far worse.

The multiverse was on the verge of breaking.

The Astral Plane – Voidborn's Final Form

Doctor Strange and his team had already fought hard against Voidborn, but the shadowy entity wasn't finished. As Thor's lightning and Scarlet Witch's magic struck him simultaneously, he let out a guttural roar, absorbing the energy instead of being destroyed.

His form expanded, becoming a colossal nightmare, his shadowy body covering the entire horizon of the Astral Plane.

"You cannot stop the void," Voidborn boomed. "You only delay the inevitable."

Thor raised Mjolnir, but Strange held up a hand. "This isn't just another brute. We need to seal him away before he devours this realm."

Scarlet Witch gritted her teeth. "Then let's do it."

With Wong's assistance, Strange and Wanda began crafting a containment spell, golden and red sigils intertwining in the air. But Voidborn wasn't going to let them finish so easily.

The entity unleashed a wave of corruption.

Wong staggered, barely holding his ground as dark tendrils lashed out. Strange shielded the group, but his magic was faltering.

Then, Thor stepped forward.

"If magic alone will not hold him—" he roared, summoning an explosion of lightning, "—then we shall smite him with thunder!"

Thor launched himself into Voidborn's core, driving Mjolnir straight through its heart.

The entity screamed.

Scarlet Witch and Wong completed the seal, trapping the writhing creature inside an endless loop of time. Voidborn howled as the spell took hold, his form imploding into nothingness.

It was over.

Thor, panting, landed beside Strange. "One down."

Wong nodded grimly. "And too many more to go."

Kree Outpost – The True Power of Sentinel Prime

Iron Man, Shuri, and Ben 10 had barely finished dealing with Sentinel Prime when a deeper threat was revealed.

The energy signature Shuri detected earlier? It was growing stronger.

The ground shook violently as Sentinel Prime's broken pieces began to reassemble.

"Oh, come on," Iron Man muttered.

Shuri's eyes widened. "He wasn't just a machine. He was a vessel."

From the remains of Sentinel Prime, a new figure emerged—taller, deadlier, and burning with Nexus's pure energy.

"I am Nexus Vanguard," the entity boomed. "The first of many."

Ben 10 quickly activated the Omnitrix, switching to Way Big—a towering, skyscraper-sized alien. He threw a punch, but Vanguard caught his fist effortlessly and threw him across the battlefield.

Iron Man's HUD screamed with warnings. "Yeah, okay. We're gonna need a bigger plan."

Shuri typed rapidly on her interface. "If we can't beat him head-on… let's shut him down from the inside."

With a smirk, Tony activated his nano-infiltration drones, sending them into Vanguard's core. The battle was about to turn.

Captain America's Team – Doombringer Awakens

Captain America, Black Widow, and Winter Soldier had barely survived their fight against the warlords, but now they faced a new nightmare.

The Doombringer had arrived.

Standing nearly four meters tall, its massive, armor-plated body pulsed with dark energy. Its hollow, burning eyes scanned the battlefield, a terrifying force of destruction.

"Is it just me," Bucky muttered, gripping his vibranium arm, "or does this thing look way worse than Nexus himself?"

Black Widow checked her guns. "No offense, but we're not winning this fight with brute force."

Cap tightened his grip on his shield. "Then we find another way."

The Doombringer charged.

The ground shattered beneath its feet as it lunged, swinging a colossal energy hammer. Cap barely managed to block the blow, the sheer force sending him flying into a wall.

Black Widow and Winter Soldier moved fast, using their agility to dodge its devastating strikes. They needed a plan—fast.

"We're gonna have to hit him where it hurts," Black Widow said.

Bucky smirked. "Then let's get creative."

As Cap got back on his feet, a new strategy began forming.
