After a while, George completed his daily quest of drinking breast milk. A familiar notification popped up.

[Daily Quest Completed: Drink Breast Milk]

[Intelligence +0.1]

He had already expected the reward, but it still pleased him to see his intelligence growing steadily.

His gaze wandered across the room, finally settling on the wooden dining table where breakfast was about to be served. Seated there were Cedric and Elara, both staring at the meal before them.

Cedric, the elder of the two, maintained a calm and composed demeanor. However, his sharp eyes betrayed his true emotions—hunger and anticipation. Elara, on the other hand, lacked any form of restraint. Her tiny fingers darted forward, snatching bits of food and stuffing them into her mouth. The result? A mess smeared across her lips and cheeks, creating an odd yet undeniably cute sight.

Their mother, still carrying George in her arms, gracefully made her way to the table. Their father, having just finished preparing the meal, washed his hands using a simple water magic spell. A small stream of water appeared at his fingertips, cleansing his hands before vanishing into the air.

George barely reacted to the display, but Cedric and Elara both gasped in admiration.

"Father, my birthday is next week, and I'll finally turn fourteen! Will you send me to the academy then?" Cedric asked eagerly, his voice filled with excitement.

Their father sighed, rubbing his temples. "You've asked me that hundreds of times since your last birthday. And I always tell you the same thing—yes. Now stop talking and eat."

Cedric, finally satisfied with the answer, eagerly dug into his meal.

Meanwhile, George frowned internally.

Academy? At fourteen?

Wasn't magic something people learned through struggle, through life-and-death situations? And fourteen… wasn't that too early? Or was it normal in this world?

His mind buzzed with questions, but there were no answers. Not yet.

And, of course, it wasn't as if he could just ask them. No newborn was capable of speech.

For now, he could only watch and listen.

After breakfast, George's mother carried him to the backyard. The fresh scent of morning dew mixed with the earthy fragrance of soil as they stepped outside.

In the distance, a large farmland stretched toward the horizon, filled with various vegetables and fruit-bearing plants. The sight of it gave George an odd sense of nostalgia. His past life had been one of war and struggle—far from the peaceful life he was witnessing now.

His mother gently sat down in front of him, her golden hair shimmering under the sunlight. She smiled softly and spoke, her voice soothing yet firm.

"You probably still don't understand anything, but just watch the display."

George's mind immediately spun in confusion.

Wait… how do I understand what she's saying?

The realization hit him like a bolt of lightning. This was an entirely different world. There was no reason he should be able to comprehend their language. Yet, every word spoken made perfect sense to him.

His thoughts turned to the system.

Is this one of its passive features? A built-in translation ability?

There was no notification confirming it, but it was the only logical explanation.

Before he could think further, his mother raised her hands.

A gentle ripple of blue light surrounded her as water gathered in the air, forming a graceful arc. She twirled her fingers, and the liquid moved with her, swirling like an extension of her body. Her movements were elegant—almost like a dance, each step in harmony with the flowing water.

George watched, completely mesmerized.

Suddenly, his system reacted.

[Water magic is being displayed.]

[Copying scans of movement and magic usage.]

His eyes widened in shock.

His system was recording it?

The process continued for several minutes as he observed every subtle motion. Then, just as he was beginning to doubt whether anything would come of it, a new message appeared.

[0-Star Water Magic Learned.]

George's heart pounded.

0-Star?

Wasn't this Primal Magic? The most basic form of magic? The very foundation upon which all other spells were built?
