At the following day, Mellow woke Rem up and the two of them had breakfast together. While Rem was showering, Mellow got dressed for work and tidied up both of their beds before preparing Rem's school lunch.

"Want me to put a slice of lemon inside your water?", Mellow asked Rem before shutting the fridge.

Rem placed his bag at the front door and replied, "I don't mind. I like lemons"

Mellow took a lemon from the fridge and cut a slice. He folded the lemon slice and inserted it into the bottle.

"Here you go", he said while handing the bottle to Rem.

As he walked past Rem, he noticed that Rem was struggling with his shoelaces. He crouched down and tied both of Rem's shoelaces.

"Alright, you're done! Be careful at school. If anything happens, ask the teachers to call me, okay?"

Rem gave him a reassuring smile and nodded. "I'll be okay, don't worry too much", he said. Mellow patted Rem's head before parting ways.

"I hope he's okay", Mellow muttered.

His work place was 25 minutes away from his house while Rem's school would take about 15 minutes on foot.

"I wished I had the power to teleport", he grunted as he felt tired.

Not long after that, his workplace came to view. As he got closer to his workplace, one of his coworkers greeted him.

"Hey, Mell! Breaking a sweat first thing in the morning, huh?", his coworker laughed.

Mellow smirked at him and punched in after entering the workplace.

After a long day at work, Mellow looked at his wristwatch and the time shown 5 minutes before noon. He resumed his works until his manager told them to close up the shop. Mellow punched out and snatched a water bottle before heading out.

"I wonder if Rem's back yet", he thought as he walked all the way home.

As he saw his house from a distance, he noticed that the front door had opened. "That must be Rem", he mumbled.

He rushed to the house and the first thing he saw was Rem stroking a tabby cat in front of the door.

"I see you've met Paste", Mellow smiled while taking his shoes off. Rem saw Mellow and welcomed him home.

"I'm home!"

The two of them went inside the house and ate lunch after washing up. "Rem, I'm going to granny's house after this. Want to tag along?", Mellow asked while washing the dishes. Rem, who had finished wiping the table replied, "sure, the weather is nice so it will be a waste to not enjoy it"

Rem washed his hands by the kitchen sink and rushed to his bag afterwards to get today's homework. He put a few books inside his tote bag and brought it to the front door as he waited for Mellow.

"Hm? Where did it go?", he mumbled after he noticed the cat had disappeared.

"You ready to go?", a voice from behind made him startled a little.

Mellow looked at Rem and realised that the cat was no longer there. "Oh, were you looking for Paste? Don't worry, that cat always appear whenever it want to. It will come back later", Mellow pat Rem's head.

The two of them set off to Granny Ve's house. As they got closer to the house, Mellow told Rem that he'll be checking on Granny Ve's garden.

"Want to come with me? I could use some extra hands to carry the juicy, sweet and sour lemons", he wrapped his arm around Rem's shoulders.

They both went to the garden and Mellow began his usual work, checking each plants and watered them after making sure all of the plants are healthy. With Rem's help, they managed to finish watering all of the plants in a short amount of time.
