A month went by and as a result, Mellow and Rem got along great. They were inseparable and did almost everything together. By now, most of the locals knew about these two and they referred them as father and son.

"Rem, I'll be going first!", said Mellow as he rushed to work.

Rem, on the other hand, was tying his shoelaces along with Paste, the cat rubbing against his left leg. "Sorry kitty, I'm going to be late so I'll play with you when I get back, okay?", he said while scratching the cat's head.

He rushed off to school while hoping that the main gate haven't closed yet. He wasn't exactly in good terms with the security guard. Since he almost ran all the way to school, he arrived a lot earlier than he thought. He walked through the main gate and headed to his class.

"Rem! You're early today!", said someone as they threw themselves against him.

"Jose, you're heavy!", Rem struggled to push him away. Jose eventually let go of Rem and the two of them chatted until the second bell rang. After the third period, three of his classmates gathered near his seat. He walked up to them and asked what were they doing. The person in the middle, a girl with high ponytail looked at Rem and snickered. The two people beside her began to laugh as well. Their reaction made Rem felt confused. The three of them walked away from Rem and went back to their seats.

"What was that all about?", he thought. He checked his pencil case on the table in case if something was missing. Everything was in place. He checked all of his books inside his bag and nothing was missing. He decided to shrugged it off and sat down while waiting for the next lesson.

"Make sure all of you have memorized four of these equation by next week", the teacher reminded the whole class right before the last bell rang.

"Okay, class. See you all tomorrow", said the teacher as the bell rang.

Rem rushed out of the classroom and ran outside the school.

"The school ended early every Friday. Should I make lunch for us?", he thought to himself.

Along the way, Rem felt like he was being watched. He turned around after some time and sadly, he could not see anyone behind him. As he about to turn around, he felt something heavy from behind. Then, he saw a familiar hand over his shoulder.

"Rem! Did you missed me?"

"Mellow?", he asked in anticipation.

"Yup! Rem, I missed you!", said Mellow as squeezed Rem tightly. The two of them stopped by the local supermarket and went home.
