The next day, the two of them woke up at the same time, startled by the sound of someone knocking at the front door. They answered the door to see Granny Ve with a suitcase next to her.

"Good morning! Why aren't you two up yet? And Rem, why aren't you dressed yet? Go take a shower and get ready", she said as she invited herself in.

Mellow was confused when he saw her.

"But granny, didn't you said the flight was at noon? It's only 6 in the morning", he said after glancing at the clock.

"Oh? Did I said noon? I meant that I need to reach Canada before noon! Sorry for the confusion. And Rem, why haven't you shower yet? Run along before we miss our flight".

Mellow patted Rem's back and Rem head to the bathroom. While waiting for Rem to get ready, Mellow washed his face at the kitchen sink and switched clothes before making tea.

"He's completely wrapped around your finger", said Granny Ve after taking a sip. Mellow joined her at the table and poured himself a cup of tea.

"Sorry for doing this to you, Mellow. It must be hard for you to let him go", said Granny Ve. Mellow replied, "it's okay. I understand the situation"

"Don't worry, the two of you will meet again someday. When that day comes, make sure to take good care of him", she said before taking another sip.

A few minutes later, Rem finished showering and got dressed. Mellow helped him carry his luggage to Granny Ve's car. She told Mellow that she borrowed the car from her friend Tony, the grandfather of Mellow's friend.

"Do you mind driving it back to his grandson's house? It's a few kilometres away from Rem's school", she asked.

Mellow reassured her and promised to return the car later on. Their flight was around 9 o'clock and the current time was half past 8. Granny Ve told Rem that it was time for them to board the plane. Mellow hugged Granny Ve before turning towards Rem.

"I guess this is goodbye", he voice cracked. His nose began to feel hot. Rem leaned closer to him and gave him a gentle squeeze.

"Goodbye Mellow", he said in a small voice. Mellow could feel something warm on his shoulder. Without realising, warm liquids came running down his cheeks.

"Wow, didn't saw that coming", he scoffed at himself. He felt Rem trembled as he held on to Mellow's shirt.

"Rem, the next time we meet again, let's eat curry together", he said as they both aparted from each other.

Rem nodded in response and reached out his right pinky. "You promise?" Mellow let out his pinky and locked both of their pinkies together. "I promise"

Rem and Granny Ve boarded the plane after saying farewell. They both waved at Mellow through the window until the plane began to take off. Mellow watched their plane took off and headed back to the car after the plane flew up the sky.
