This was my first time riding a helicopter. The noise was going to tear my head open. I couldn't hear anything, even if Domenica and Nora were sitting not far from me, I couldn't talk to them.


I kept frowning. Vernon was sitting beside me, he noticed my discomfort, and he said something, but it was too loud for me to hear. He leaned in close to my ear, so close he was practically pressed up against me.


"Is this the first time you take a ride in a helicopter?"


I didn't think he could hear my answer in such a loud environment, nor did I want to lean in close to him, so I nodded and made sure he saw that.


Oddly, he smiled and then he held my hand in his, he squeezed my hand slightly which brought me some comfort.


'He's so much better than Terry.' Kaela suddenly said to me.


It was weird to hear the voice in your head when your surrounding was so loud.
