I slowly pushed the door open, making as little sound as possible. Luckily I already checked the door when we were picking rooms. I picked this room because I didn't have to go around any room in case I bumped into Vernon on my way out.


I didn't even put on my shoes for this. I supposed there wouldn't be any broken glasses in this luxurious mansion. Right?


When I walked to outside, the crisp evening air hit my skin, making me shivered. I should have grab a coat or something. No time to think about that as I looked up at the sky, the moon was right in the middle. It was in deed mid-night.


Luckily I didn't run into anyone on my way to the backyard, I would have to explain a lot if it did. But then again, maybe this was intentional, maybe Hugo deliberately arranged this so that no one would run into me.
