THE ALPHA QUEEN'S RETURN

I was seated in my office going over some files when a pack employee knocked softly and walked in.


“Alpha, you have a letter specially delivered for you.”


I frowned, nodding as he dropped the envelope on my desk and walked out.


I picked up the envelope cautiously, my breath caught in my throat as I turned it over. The envelope had the seal for the Scorpio pack. I ran my fingers slowly on the envelope, my mind taking me back to when I used to work in the Scorpio pack and used the seal in my letters.


I gently tore open the envelope, my heart beating loudly as I pulled out the folded piece of paper inside.


I unfolded the paper cautiously, and then I leaned closer as I read it. Halfway through the letter, my anxious expression broke out into a bright smile.


Alpha Kaden has agreed to meet me to discuss our potential alliance. I rose with new hope, stashing the letter and envelope in my drawer.
