I stood at the back of the room, Lucy hanging onto my arm, as my eyes darted around the room. I had to give it to Emily, her celebratory party was well organised and she had so many prominent Alphas in attendance.


My body suddenly tensed as a hush fell through the crowd. I turned following the gaze of the crowd and I saw her.


She stood at the top of the stairs and for a moment the room disappeared before me. I could only see her, her face gleaming with a smile as she looked down.


I blinked hard, taking in a deep breath as she walked down the stairs arm-in-arm with Alpha Kaden.


My eyes were trained on her as the world blurred. She was wearing a sky-blue silk dress that shimmered under the light of the chandelier.


The fabric clung to her figure perfectly, her hair in a bun, curls framing her face. She looked like an angel.
