Anita's POV
Pain shot through my body like lightning, each nerve screaming in protest as I tried to move. The moment I attempted to shift, it felt as though my limbs were foreign to me, like they belonged to someone else Every inch of my body seemed to be made of fragile glass, and I was too terrified to risk the slightest crack. My knees throbbed fiercely, the impact of my fall radiating up to my thighs, and my hands stung sharply from the abrasions left by the rough tiles. They felt raw, like the skin had been peeled away to expose something vulnerable beneath.
