Chapter 60

Sibel’s POV

I stood there, fidgeting with the hem of my dress, feeling the weight of my own emotions pressing down on me. I glanced at Dylan, his calm demeanor only making the storm inside me worse. I had dragged him into this situation without a second thought, and now, as the tension between us lingered, I knew I owed him an apology.

"Dylan..." I began softly, my voice barely above a whisper. "I’m sorry for what happened earlier. I didn’t mean to pull you into all of this without asking." My eyes flickered down to the floor, feeling a twinge of guilt. "I feel... wronged, that you’re my mate. Like maybe you deserve better than me."

The words came out before I could stop them, the vulnerability that I tried so hard to hide spilling out. I bit my lip, waiting for his response, half-expecting him to agree or, worse, stay silent.
