Chapter 1: The Observer
Part 4: The First Attack
---
It was a dark night, and Pragya sat quietly in his room, staring at the glowing screen. For hours, he had been working, coding, and monitoring his app. But tonight was different—something felt off.
His phone buzzed with a new message:
"We know where you are. We know your game. Make one wrong move, and you're done."
Pragya smiled slightly. This was nothing new. Threats like this came all the time. But as he glanced back at his computer screen, something was wrong. His system froze. His entire setup went black.
Panic crept into his mind, but he quickly shook it off. He connected his backup server. "This isn't over yet," he muttered.
---
The Attack Begins
Just as Pragya was about to get back to work, another message popped up:
"Your firewalls are cute. But we have something better."
Seconds later, his screen went haywire. A cyberattack had begun. His system was being attacked with everything the hackers had—viruses, fake accounts, and overwhelming traffic.
But Pragya had prepared for this. His system was strong, with backup firewalls and security measures in place. The attackers didn't stand a chance—if he could get his hands on the right tools.
He clicked a few buttons and muttered, "Agar meri jaan pehchan hogi na, toh yeh hackers ka kya hoga? Sab kuch 'gobar' ho jayega." (If these hackers know who I am, their game will be as messed up as cow dung.)
---
The Hacker's Identity
As Pragya quickly got to work, he traced the attack. Who was behind this?
After a few tense moments, the location of the hacker appeared on his screen: Delhi.
"Delhi?" Pragya whispered. "Kahan se aaye yeh? Kya yeh woh dilli ka bhai hai jo kafi mein daal ke bhi doston ko chalate hain?" (Delhi? Where did this come from? Is this the Delhi guy who even adds sugar in his coffee to mess with his friends?)
Then, a name appeared on the screen:
Vishal Kapoor.
Pragya's eyes widened. Vishal was a well-known hacker—and now, he was working against Pragya. This was no random attack. This was a serious move from someone with power.
Pragya stared at his screen and said, "Yeh Vishal Kapoor... sabko toh lagta hai yeh IT guru hai. Par mujhe lagta hai, yeh sirf laptop ka 'wala' hai." (Everyone thinks Vishal Kapoor is an IT guru. But I think he's just a laptop 'wala' who spends his days on Google.)
---
The Warning
Just as Pragya prepared his counterattack, another message appeared:
"You've made a big mistake. Game over."
Before Pragya could respond, his phone rang. He looked at the number—it was Vishal Kapoor himself.
Pragya answered the phone, and the voice on the other end was calm but threatening:
"I gave you a chance, Pragya. Now, you've opened Pandora's Box. Prepare for the storm."
The call ended before Pragya could say anything. He stared at his phone, realizing that things were about to get much worse.
---
Pragya stood up, scratching his head. "Yeh Vishal ne toh mera dimag 'aloo' bana diya hai! (Vishal has turned my mind into a potato!)" He muttered as he prepared for the storm ahead. But at least his sense of humor was still intact.
