As the girls were all in Raquel's house, sitting in her bed room chairs and floor, there was a tray of milk and cookies in front of them. While they were eating, Runo commented as she sat on a chair in the opposite way of how a chair is sat on "It's been a while since I last ate cookies, like seriously.", Serena adder "Yeah, although it feels like it's been long since I've taken the time to actually enjoy a meal. Feels wierd.". Sukuna then explains "Yeah, ever since we had that world ending dragon invasion, things have gone and felt different. It gives me a worse feeling than the war we had against the dark sign, and even that was a turning point for us.". Raquel sits on her bed "Three years later and we're still talking about that crazy criminal group? We really haven't healed at all, huh.", Runo turned to Raquel "Well we can't forget the very first war we took part In. I mean, they invaded our city lots of times to even forget, the war we had against them just solidified the fact that we aren't just fighting for good and evil.". Raquel just took a sigh "Good and evil, huh? Honestly, I don't even think a concept like that even exists. I mean, think of it. What you can be doing can get in the way of someone else's goal, your goals might be good to you, but to someone else with their own ideals and desires, your goal might feel like a threat.", Serena added "I guess that's to be expected. Everyone has their own dreams to reach. Don't they?". Runo slightly raised her head, lookin at the ceiling of the bed room "Well, that's how it is. We work for the society we find ourselves in, breaking from said society is difficult and not many people escape. We're not heroes or villians, we're just people who have reasons to be what we are. Logical or illogical.". Sukuna tilted her head to the left, her green eyes just staring at nothing "Oh well. In the end, we aren't the first set of soldiers and assassins to go through alot, and we definitely won't be the last. I'm just glad we are all alive to talk to one another.". Raquel just sighed with a smile "Yeah, I'm glad we're alive.", Runo then asked "So, we heard that you got kidnapped and was taken to some kind of other dimension....?", Raquel looked at her "How did you know?", she asked. Runo explained to Raquel "Kazuki told us the situation, that was the thing that prepared us for the dragon invasion. Honestly, that invasion is probably the craziest thing to ever happen to earth, it even takes the cake against the war against the dark sign.". Serena added "I wouldn't really say that tho. Have you forgotten that all the nations of the world were fighting against shadow puppets? It was a large swarm of shadow monsters that were going all over the planet on a rampage.". Sukuna then added "Yeah, but, most of those shadow puppets were probably on the lower ends of C-rank. Only a few were B-rank. From the looks of the dragons we fought, a decent number of them were high tiers C-ranks. And a few were B or A- rank.". Runo just sighed lazily "Ahhhh, whatever. It doesn't matter which war was worse, the point is that we survived and we're here to laugh it off like a joke.", Serena with a small giggle added "I know right?". Raquel while looking at her friends talk and play with each other, couldn't help but to feel warm inside with a smile "I'm really glad we all are alive to sit down and play again.",she thought to herself. Runo turned to Raquel "So? How was it for you?", Raquel just scoffed with a smile "Nah, it's fine. I don't want to talk about it.". Sukuna looked up at the ceiling "You know, now that I think of it, this reminds me of the first few months we trained with Veronica during our three years of training.", Raquel also looked up "Yeah, it does remind me of it. I mean, back then, we'd have a sparring match with either her or her shikigami. We were always so beat afterwards, the one hour breaks we had weren't even enough at all.". Runo smirked "Yeah, I remember how she'd make us fight snakes and bears. Serena was always so beat during the aftermath.". Serena turned to Runo "It's funny because I barely remember anything. I do remember the training we had, and I remember how i used to get so knocked out to the point that I'd see myself sleeping in Raquel's room after I wake up. But the memories are fuzzy". Raquel replied Serena "Yeah, we all used to come all the way to my place all beat up. And you were the one who'd get beat up the most at the time.". Serena had a defeated smile on her face "Was I really that stressed due to training?", she asked herself. Runo then gets up from the chairs and tells Raquel "Well, I'll be off now. Later.", Raquel waved to her "Take care.". Serena got up "I've gotta go too, I wanna go home and get some sleep In my system. Plus i haven't heard from my parents or brother. ", Sukuna added "Yeah, me too.", she got up and waved to Raquel before she and Serena left Raquel's house. Raquel waved with a faint smile "Bye.", she paused for a moment with a beautiful smile on her face, her yellow eyes were now sparkling white "I'm really happy. Really, really happy. I've never been this happy before. My friend are alive, I get to live a peaceful life again. And best if all....", she started to think of Alex "You are in my life. I'm so happy we got to meet each other and become this close. My dear Alex.", Rahelza on the other hand, had a small smile on her face after hearing and feeling Raquel's thoughts. Later that day, Deo was in his lab, he sits down on his chair and took a deep sigh "Finally, the kids asleep. Taking care of a three years old nephew is kinda tiring.". Deo looked around the quiet lab, it felt so peaceful and nostalgic "So now, I've finally finished my project. I was working on a satellite project before the city got invaded by dragons. Not just that, I was able to finish up some calculations for my space time devices.". Deo looked at the 5 drones that were on his desk, "Big bro was working on devices that could allow for teleportation via portals. I found them and started working on them myself, and now, I can fully say I've completed them.". He picked up two note books, one was his and the other was for his late brother. He took a look at the calculations "Hm, looks like they were similar to the bone, mine just happened to be more accurate.". He dropped the note books and smirked while looking up at the lights, he remembered one of Sughi's dying words "In the end, i was nothing but a bad example for an elder brother.". Deo just smirked "Big bro Sughi, looks like you really weren't as bad as you thought of yourself to be. May your soul rest in peace."
