Cairn Baden

Up into the hills surrounding Poltaris, the capital city of Azdarel. The carriage finally came to a stop after rolling over a draw bridge and entering a cobblestone drive ending with a majestic obsidian castle, its spires reaching high into the indigo night sky.

"Welcome home, Lady Kya." The carriage door opened and Luca exited, holding out a hand to assist Kya.

With one hand holding the cloak closed, she reached out and accepted Luca's help stepping down from the carriage. Arcen followed, and as soon as he disembarked from the carriage, the door slammed shut and it rolled off down the drive before disappearing from sight.

Lord Luca lead her by the hand up to the immense iron banded double doors. They flung open on their own accord, revealing two rows of servants, bowing. Upon entering the castle, the doors slammed shut with a resounding thud, causing Kya to jump from being startled.

"Welcome home, Your Highnesses." A small man wearing a tidy black suit straightened and stepped forward, his mane of silver hair glinting in the candle light. His brush-like mustache twitched as he spoke.

"Thank you, Reynard. This is our new pet, Lady Kya. She is to be afforded every accommodation and respect. Ready an appropriate chamber and find her a trusty lady's maid. Summon the dressmaker tomorrow." Turning his hawk-like gaze her way, Lord Luca smiled once more as he gestured toward the stairs. "Come my dear. You must be tired."

Twin spiraling staircases flowed upward, carpeted in ruby. With the black marble walls and gold trim, it seemed so opulent.

Luca led Kya down the third story corridor, stopping before a large arched door. "Come, my dear. Have no fear, I won't bite until asked."

Kya held her head high, unwilling to show fear, as Lucian advised. Silently she cursed her step-mother for keeping her sheltered, ignorant, and then selling her off like chattel, as she followed Luca into the room.

A man's bedchamber in shades of blue and gold. A bed big enough to take up a quarter of the room, draped in wolf pelts and hung with sheer silk drapes. Large black marble fireplace and chairs occupied the left side of the room. On the back wall, a door, and on the right hand side, another door. Arcen marched past Luca and Kya, to open the door on the back wall before pulling out a man's shirt.

"Until the dressmaker arrives, you won't have any decent clothing. Please wear this for now." Arcen laid the shirt on the bed then sat himself in a chair by the fireplace, turning it so it faced the bed.

Kya clasped the cloak harder, her knuckles whitening.

"Do not try our patience. Our good will shall only go so far." Luca warned.

"Must you watch me change?"

They both smiled, lips curling away to reveal their fangs.

"Oh yes. We paid a fortune for you, surely we're entitled to some benefits." Arcen teased.

"As we weren't close to the stage, we didn't get a good look at your body. Let us see what our gold has bought." Luca spoke. "Come now. You've already stood naked before us, with many more present. Do you require an audience to comply?"

Kya's heart thundered in her chest as she felt trapped and sought to change the topic. "The auctioneer referred to me as unawakened. What does that mean?"

"That you have yet to tap into your power." Luca smirked. "If you don't change by yourself, we will simply have to help you. Is that what you would like?"

"What a sad birthday gift, Brother."

"Cheer up, Arcen." In a blink, Lord Luca left his place by the bedchamber door to stand over Kya, peeling the cloak away from her in a fluid motion before she even realized it happened. "I shall aid her."

Very conscious of the thin silk covering her frame, Kya crossed her arms in a protective manner, hoping to shield her breasts from their sight.

"As charming as that dress is, it must go. It's stained with your blood, my dear, and the scent will only provoke unwanted behaviors from those who cannot control themselves."

Undoing the small brooches at the shoulders and untying the ribbon waist, the silk nearly pooled around Kya for the second time that night. As she kept it clasped against her breasts, Luca's smile shifted.

"Have you any concept how charming you look right now, my dear? Arcen, where is her gift?"

Arcen arose and strode to Luca's side. Holding out a hand, a delicate golden collar appeared in what was an empty palm. "Right here."

Luca took the collar and opened it, placing it around Kya's neck before locking it shut, the mechanism hidden in the design of the collar.

Arcen spoke. "Every pet must be collared. This is for your safety. Anyone who dares approach you will know you're ours. Should they have ill intentions, the protection spells woven into the gold will keep you safe."

"Look into my eyes, Kya." Luca spoke low in a direct order. There was a note in his voice that made it impossible to ignore the command. As her violet gaze settled into his green, an electric shock poured through her. "Release the dirty gown, Kya."

With a deep breath, she let go, allowing it to puddle around her once again, leaving her curves bare to their eyes. She wanted to resist the command but found herself complying instead. A coal of anger sizzled through her.

Luca trailed a finger along her collar bone and down her shoulder, arm, and wrist, to grasp her hand and lift it to his lips.

"Speak honestly your thoughts. Are you scared?"

"Yes my lord."

"What do you fear?"

"The unknown, my lord."

"Do you think we will hurt you?"

"No, my lord. I don't think you would waste that kind of coin."

"You are not a waste of coin in any sense." Luca smiled. "May I lick your wounded knee?"

Kya shivered. "Why? Will it feel good again, my lord?"

That made Arcen smile and ask her, "Did you like it when I tasted you?"

"I did, my lord. Although it was also embarrassing."

"If I must share you, my dear, then whatever he does, I want to do as well, and vice versa. I will do my best to make it pleasurable for us both. May I proceed?"

She nodded her answer.

"Lay upon the bed. Spread your legs."

Kya did as commanded, heart beating a steady tempo of excitement in her rib cage, laying among the wolf pelts, knees apart. Arcen lay beside her as Luca knelt by her legs, leaned down, and begin licking a trail from her navel, down to her wounded knee. While a scab had formed and the skin partially healed from Arcen's attention, it was no match for a persistent tongue. As Luca tasted her blood, Arcen kissed his way from her shoulder, to her throat, grazing her with his fangs without harming her skin, before making his way to her jaw.

"Tell me, Kya, is this unpleasant? Do you wish us to stop?" Arcen asked.

She answered with a pleasure-filled moan.

"I want words, Kya. Answer honestly."

"It feels lovely, my lords. Please don't stop."

"You heard her, Luca."

While the injury to her knee wasn't deep and didn't bleed profusely, it did bleed enough to allow a feast upon her flesh. Arcen kissed Kya, sweeping his tongue over her lower lip before thrusting forth to duel with her.

Luca occupied himself by slowly licking the small rivulet of blood pooling on her knee, before kissing his way to her core, fragrant with her pheromones of passion. Kya gasped at the new sensation as Luca fed off her pleasure juices with more ferocity than he did her blood. Arcen's hands occupied themselves with caressing her breasts while he continued to kiss her.

Kya broke away from Arcen's persistent lips. "I feel strange, my lords... so strange...I, uhh!" Her head thrashed from side to side as a new sensation poured through her very being.

Luca broke from his kissing of her nethers. "Enjoy it... this is a Singularity's power." He returned to his endeavor, striving to bring her to completion as Arcen reclaimed her lips for a moment before moving on to suckle her breasts, her hands threaded through his dark hair.

The words didn't sink in as Kya couldn't keep her hips still from Luca and Arcen's attentions. Finally, the tension snapped inside her, with a breathy moan and a flash of light filling the chamber. As it dimmed, little orbs of light wove through Kya's body before fading away from view.

Arcen lifted his lips from her breast and called gently to her. "Kya? How are you doing? You still among us?"

She was not, utterly exhausted by the flash of energy that burst forth from her.

Luca licked his lips before wiping them clean with the back of his hand. "The legends are true about their energy. Can you feel it? I feel as though I leveled up." He held his hand out and summoned his attribute of ice. An ice crystal formed and hardened into stone. Squeezing it in his fist, the ice stone crumbled into snow. Before, he could only harden the snow with frost. This power advance just now... epic!

"The Munro's must not have known she was a Singularity, else they would have bred her to their whole pack to increase their collective power." Arcen replied. "How shall we divide her, Brother?"

"We won't. Let her choose who she will."

Arcen lifted his brows in surprise. "Did she impress you that much?"

"I find myself wanting to please her. I suppose that part of the legend is true as well." Luca spoke low. "We must find out how much is truth and how much is myth. By now the whole city and half the countryside knows I bought a Singularity at a slave auction. We must make appearances lest the overly curious send spies to taint our harmony. And that simply cannot happen."

"As she is a gift from both of us to the both of us, then let us not fight over her. I will abide by her choice."

"I have a boon to ask of you, Brother. Let her sleep with me tonight."

"Fine. What are the terms for her maiden's blood?"

"Shall we dice for it?" Luca replied back.

"Aye. But final consent lies with her."

"Fair enough."

Arcen found a pair of dice and asked, "Best two out of three?"

"No. Single roll. Let the dice fall as they may. As younger brother, you may roll first."

"As you wish." Arcen shook the dice and rolled them onto the nightstand. A three and a six. "Nine. Not bad."

Luca picked up the dice and rolled them. Two sixes. "Twelve beats nine. Sorry, Arcen."

"Don't be too sorry. She has the sweetest kisses. I regret nothing." His gaze flicked down to the scraped knee. "And doesn't she taste divine?"

"She does. No biting her. Not unless she explicitly asks for it."

"She won't. She's like a timid rabbit, all soft and quivering. I do admit her blood makes me want to go feral on her, though. I could drain her and it still not be enough."

Luca smiled. He would claim all of her; her kisses, maiden's blood, her love. Those who hold the love of a Singularity are unstoppable, imbued with the power of a Singularity's passion. It wells from them like a flame of divine power, a remnant of their ancestry of divine winged beings. It's to their advantage that they give Kya room to accept them.

Kya began to stir, her violet eyes fluttering open to the concerned gazes of Lord Luca and Lord Arcen. "My lords?" She sought for something to cover herself with, very self-conscious of what just happened. Bed warmer, it would seem. While fairly ignorant, Kya had a rough idea based off eavesdropping of the maidservants in her childhood home.

"Tonight you shall sleep with me, Lady Kya. If you have any questions, please let me know. We wish you to be content with us."

"Am I your slave?"

"Slave? No. Honored guest, my dear. As the daughter of the honorable Baron Dunfrith, we hold you in the highest of esteem. While the Baden clan tends not to take consorts, we do have favorites. And right now, you are very much in our favor."

A charming blush filled her cheeks. "If that's so, why did you have me strip so you could have your way with me? Is that how you treat your honored guests?"

Both Luca and Arcen chuckled at the indignant tone she used.

"No my dear, but you are a very special guest. How are you feeling?"

She drew a slow breath, noticing their gaze settle on her bosom as she drew in another deep breath. "I feel fine. Perhaps a bit...messy and a little tired, but otherwise I feel fine."

Luca gathered up the white linen shirt and slid it over her head before tightening the front laces to give her a hint of modesty. However the shirt was so over-sized that one side slid down her arm, baring her shoulder. And when she stood up, the hemline fell below her knees.

"A fetching look for you, Kya." Arcen almost growled as his eyes devoured her.

"Why did you buy me?" The shirt smelled of aloes-wood and musk, and she did her best not to be obvious in her enjoyment of the scent.

"You are a rarity. So few of your kind exist. We bought you because we have use for you."

"As a bed warmer?"

"Is it so bad to be the beloved of royalty?"

"It's overwhelming, my lord. I am but human and without knowledge of magic. You say I'm special, but there's nothing special about being auctioned off, even for an exorbitant amount of gold."

Luca softened his gaze while Arcen stroked Kya's hair. "That may be, but we are here for you."

"Besides warming your bed, what else is expected of me. I would bring no shame to you and remain in my place."

Arcen smirked. "How quaint a notion. I will let you in on a secret. We bought you so we could destroy the Munro clan. How fortuitous that their matriarch's heir sold a priceless treasure for a mere twenty gold ducats. Tell me, Kya, would you like revenge?"

Kya's eyes widened. "Revenge? Against Jyla Munro? Can it be done?"

Luca held Kya's gaze. "Absolutely. The Munros killed our mother. Your father. Sold you as a slave to an auction house. With your aid, we will wipe them from the earth. Let some other Wolf clan scramble to support that leg of the Trifecta."

Oh, the idea appealed to Kya, with more intensity than she thought. "What must I do?"

"Give us your loving energy. The passion of a Singularity activates and enhances attributes. I am Ice, while Arcen is Shadow. Enhance us with your loving so we may destroy the Munro clan, and allow another Wolf tribe to take up the leg of the Trifecta. Can you read?"

Kya slowly shook her head. "I cannot. Lady Munro wouldn't allow me a tutor."

"Well, that shall change. There's a ball in two weeks and you shall accompany us. You have much to learn to be ready for such an appearance."

With her heart beating as fast as hummingbird wings, Kya smiled. "I will help you get revenge. What will happen to me afterward, when I'm useless to you in that regard?"

Arcen grinned. "You will chose one of us to breed with. Or you may die so you cannot be used as a weapon against us. Your choice, of course."
