Chapter 30: Facing the Mirror

Pragya took a step back, his hand instinctively reaching for the Power Chip. The figure in front of him smirked, its form flickering, distorting, like it was made of smoke.

"Who are you?" Pragya demanded, his voice sharp.

The figure laughed, a sound that chilled him to the bone. "I am you, Pragya. The you that's been lost in the Earth's consciousness. The you that's already seen everything. The you that will destroy everything."

The air crackled with tension. Pragya didn't know whether to fight or flee. Was this a part of the chips' effect on his mind? Or was it something else—something more sinister?

"Listen carefully, Pragya," the figure continued. "The resistance is nothing more than a distraction. You are the true weapon. You always have been."

The room seemed to close in on him as the figure's words echoed in his mind.

And then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, the figure vanished.

Pragya stood alone, his chest rising and falling in rapid breaths. He had a choice to make, and he could feel the weight of it settling on his shoulders.

Would he embrace this dark side of himself? Or would he fight to protect the future, even if it meant destroying the very force that had given him his power?

The answer wasn't clear.

But one thing was for certain—the battle for Earth's future was only just beginning.
