Chapter 5

[Age 17: You had been living in Mondstadt for a while now, gradually adapting to life in human society.]

[You became a hunter in Mondstadt.]

[Amber was good friends with Sara, the waitress at the Good Hunter, and through this connection, you became a supplier for the restaurant.]

[Having grown up in the forest, you knew where to find the best prey.]

[Gradually, you made a name for yourself in Mondstadt. The Mondstadt General Goods store and the Angel's Share tavern also started sourcing from you.]

[As you needed to supply a large amount of prey to Mondstadt every day, your life became increasingly busy.]

[In Mondstadt, you went from feeling lost to being completely at ease. (The Kind-hearted talent passively triggered, making everyone who knew you feel close to you.) Many people in Mondstadt knew you as Amber's boyfriend, the trainee knight.]

[Seeing how well the two of you got along, people often teased you in a friendly way.]

[Whenever this happened, the usually carefree Amber would blush and run away.]

[One day, when you went to pick Amber up from the Knights of Favonius, you met Jean, the Acting Grand Master of the Knights. She told you that Amber had been working extremely hard recently, hoping to be promoted early in the Knights of Favonius.]

["I asked Amber why she was in such a hurry. Based on her usual performance, she could have been promoted smoothly after a while. Amber said it was because she had promised you that once she was promoted, the two of you would get married. She wants to have a home with you." Jean looked at you seriously. "Don't let Amber down. You must treat her well."]

[When you saw Amber, exhausted from her work, and recalled Jean's words, a wave of emotion washed over you.]

[You swore to yourself that you would make this girl happy.]

Sigh, here comes the flag.

It seems the day of delivering a tragedy isn't far off.

[Age 18: After Amber's relentless efforts, she was finally promoted, becoming a full-fledged Outrider of the Knights of Favonius.]

[At the promotion ceremony, you appeared with a ring.]

[In front of everyone, you knelt on one knee and proposed to Amber.]

[Tears of happiness streamed down Amber's cheeks. In a choked but firm voice, she told you, "I do!"]

[The Knights of Favonius and the onlookers applauded, offering their sincerest blessings.]

[After celebrating with everyone, you returned home.]

[Amber kept looking at the ring on her finger.]

["Am I really a full-fledged Knight of Favonius? Did you really propose to me? Am I dreaming?"]

[This was already the umpteenth time Amber had asked you this.]

[You were a little helpless. You cupped her face and gave her a deep kiss, using actions to tell her that this wasn't a dream.]

[Amber hugged you tightly, responding with equal passion.]

[Both of you were filled with an overwhelming emotion that desperately needed an outlet.]

[Detecting the host's intense emotional fluctuations, automatically converting to Sensory Mode.]

"What?! I didn't..."

He had indeed let his imagination run wild for a moment—what man wouldn't feel something seeing this scene!

But he hadn't said he wanted to convert to Sensory Mode!

This system made him seem like some kind of desperate pervert.

[Would the host like to cancel Sensory Mode?]

"...Continue."

The scene shifted. Kael saw Amber lying on the bed, shyly covering her face with her hands. Her red ears were exposed to the air, and her slightly trembling body revealed her nervousness...
