Chapter 7

[1. You don't want the Hilichurls to disrupt your peaceful life. Their deaths would be a good thing for you. No one would know about your past, and you could continue living as Anders of Mondstadt without worry.]

[2. You can't ignore the Hilichurls who raised you. To the world, they might be monsters, but to you, they are family.]

[Reminder, Host: This choice will affect the outcome of the life simulation. Please choose carefully.]

From Kael's personal perspective, he really wanted to choose option 1.

Although the Hilichurls had been good to him, those feelings were only experienced through text.

Amber, on the other hand, was someone he had truly interacted with, even sharing intimate moments.

Back when he played Genshin Impact, Kael had always liked Amber—her lively, cheerful, and fiery personality.

After those two intimate encounters, he couldn't help but develop some feelings for her.

His intuition told him that if he chose option 1, based on his previous life development, he would likely settle down in Mondstadt and have a happy, fulfilling ending.

But let's not forget the name of this system.

It's called the Tragedy Simulator.

It scores based on how much tragedy you create!

While Kael might live a happy and fulfilling life in this simulation, it wouldn't help him in reality at all!

After thinking it through, Kael knew what he had to choose.

He silently apologized to Amber in his heart.

"I choose 2."

[The Mitachurl being attacked by the four Knights of Favonius was on the verge of collapse.]

[You recognized him. He had taught you how to hunt when you were just five years old and even made you a small shield.]

[When you left the Hilichurl camp, you left that small shield behind.]

[You thought that your past life could be discarded just like that shield, forever left in the Hilichurl camp.]

[But now, you realized that wasn't the case at all.]

[These Hilichurls, every single one of them, had held you, helped you when you were young.]

[You could never forget how they carefully cradled you in their rough, broad hands.]

[They couldn't express their emotions like humans could, but you could truly feel their clumsy yet sincere care.]

[As you saw the Mitachurl's shield shatter into dust and the Knights' swords about to pierce its heart, your mind went blank, and your body moved on its own.]

[You raised your shield and unleashed a Fierce Charge, knocking all the Knights surrounding the Hilichurl away.]

[The Knights, unable to withstand your terrifying strength, fainted on the spot.]

[The lead Knight roared at you, "Anders, what are you doing?!"]

[Seeing the disbelief in the eyes of the surrounding Knights, a wave of sorrow washed over you.]

[For so many years, you had been torn between your identity as a human and a Hilichurl.]

[You thought you could balance both identities. Now, you realized how naive you had been.]

[Humans and Hilichurls are inherently opposed. There's no way to have the best of both worlds.]

[You had to make a choice.]
