Chapter 12

As Kael wandered through the forest, he passed by several Hilichurl camps.

Having just finished his first life simulation, his feelings toward Hilichurls were still quite complicated.

So, he didn't attack them and simply moved on quietly.

It wasn't until he reached the depths of the forest that he found a suitable target to practice on.

A group of wild boars.

He remembered that the system had said he would gain 20 attribute points for every beast he killed.

He decided to use these boars to test it out!

His current stamina was 99, which made him superior to most ordinary people,

but chasing these boars around would probably tire him out quickly.

Since that was the case, he decided to try out the skills of his Vision.

"Thunder Net!"

Kael activated his elemental attack, and a net made of lightning descended from the sky, covering the entire forest.

The six boars in front of him all fell to the ground, electrocuted. Their legs twitched slightly from the residual current.

This was Kael's first time using his Vision, and he hadn't expected it to be so effective.

The net was so large that it covered the entire forest. What about the Hilichurls he had seen earlier?

[Host has killed 21 beasts, gaining 420 attribute points.]

Sure enough!

He had only seen six boars, so the remaining 15 beasts must have been the Hilichurls he had encountered earlier.

Kael was speechless. He had wanted to spare them, but in the end, he had accidentally wiped out the entire Hilichurl population in the forest.

That said, the Electro Vision was really useful.

His attribute panel showed seven types of Visions, and only Electro was marked as "Acquired."

He wondered if he could obtain the other six elemental Visions as well.

[Items obtained in life simulations can be brought into the real world. Host can obtain other elemental Visions in life simulations.]

"Tsk!" Kael was startled by the sudden voice in his ear.

"System, you're really good at sneaking in a sales pitch, huh? Saying all this just to get me to start another life simulation? Fine, I'll grant your wish. Let's begin."

[Received. Life simulation will now start.]

[Please randomly select three talents from the following. Talents will affect the outcome of your life. If the final rating reaches S-tier, in addition to rewards, you can keep one of the talents as your own. Choose carefully.]

[Rarity from low to high: White, Blue, Red, Gold, Black.]

[Born into Poverty (White): You will be born into a family that can barely afford food.]

[Low Intelligence (White): You appear rather dull.]

[Born Disabled (White): You are missing one of your limbs at random.]

[Kind-hearted (Blue): You are extremely compassionate, and people feel drawn to you.]

[Respected (Blue): You have natural leadership abilities and are easily respected by others.]

[Born with Great Strength (Red): You possess immense strength and can punch through a city wall. (This talent is now invalid.)]

[Masochist (Red): Every time you are hit by an enemy, your overall strength increases by 5.]

Apart from the now invalid "Born with Great Strength," the other talents were the same as the previous two simulations.

"I'll choose 'Masochist,' 'Kind-hearted,' and 'Respected.'"

The "Masochist" talent, like "Born with Great Strength," was of red rarity.

It was the highest rarity among the available talents.

In the last life simulation, he had already experienced the benefits of "Born with Great Strength."

He was confident that "Masochist" wouldn't disappoint him either.

[Life simulation will now begin.]
