Chapter 22

[Kazuha tells you that his friend has returned to Inazuma to resist the Raiden Shogun's Vision Hunt Decree and is now at Tenshukaku. He's worried that his friend, too reckless, might do something foolish.]

["I've already been to Tenshukaku, but they wouldn't let me in. However, someone of authority in Inazuma can freely enter. Please, take me inside. I have to stop him."]

["Why come to me? Wouldn't it make more sense to ask the Kamisato Clan head for help?"]

["I've heard about your deeds from some friends. I believe you'd be willing to help me."]

[Kazuha's words are veiled, but you understand his meaning. He's referring to your secret assistance to Vision holders.]

[Faced with Kazuha's request, your choice is…]

[1. Help him.]

[2. Refuse him.]

"I choose 1."

"'There will always be those who dare to brave the lightning's glow.'" That line left a deep impression on every Genshin Impact player.

Kael wanted to lend a hand to this courageous young man.

If he could save Kazuha's friend, it would also make up for some regrets from the game.

[You decide to help Kazuha. But this matter would bring you before the Raiden Shogun herself. This is no small affair. As a representative of the Kamisato Clan, this act would be entirely different from the assistance you provide in secret. You'd need to consult Kamisato Ayato first.]

There's no time for that now!

If you wait too long, you might be too late to save him.

"System, I want to switch to Sensory Mode and use attribute points to convert two hours."

[Understood. Sensory Mode activated successfully.]

Kael found himself in the inner courtyard of the Kamisato Estate.

"Let's go. We're heading to Tenshukaku now."

Kazuha looked puzzled. "Didn't you just say you needed to consult Kamisato first?"

"Some matters are more urgent than others. Let's take care of yours first."

Kael and Kazuha quickly reached the gates of Tenshukaku.

Tenshukaku, the central structure of the castle, was the heart of Inazuma's political power and authority.

Standing before its grand, imposing facade, anyone could feel the undeniable might of the Raiden Shogun.

A Tenryou Commission soldier at the door raised his sword. "Halt! Who are you, and why have you come to Tenshukaku?"

Kael began to produce a token engraved with the Kamisato Clan crest.

"Oh, that's someone from the Kamisato Clan! Don't you recognize the White Crane Young Master?" said another soldier, flashing a fawning smile. "Kael-sama must have urgent matters to report to the Raiden Shogun. Please, come in."

Kazuha's expression was one of mixed feelings. "I tried everything, but they wouldn't let me in. I was even prepared to force my way in if you had turned me down. I never expected… is this what noble privilege looks like?"

Kael sneered. "In Inazuma, every law is brutally strict—except when it concerns the nobility. Then, anything can be negotiated. This is the Tenryou Commission's way."

Kael could feel that switching to Sensory Mode had brought his emotions and thoughts in line with "Kamisato Kael," his persona in the simulation.

In text mode, he had remained detached, viewing the events with a bystander's perspective.

But now, in Sensory Mode, he felt a deep-seated anger and frustration welling up inside.

The hypocritical three Commissions, the Raiden Shogun's indifference, his own helplessness—

He was filled with fury at all that was unfolding before him.
