Half a month passed quietly.
The entire ninja world remained as calm as ever.
It seemed the Nine-Tails' attack on Konoha Village had caused no lasting ripples.
Meanwhile, Konoha Village, after the Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen had forced the Uchiha Clan to move out of the village's core area, gradually returned to stability and began developing steadily.

Hokage Building — Hokage's Office
After dismissing the Anbu hidden in the shadows, only the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, and Uchiha Shisui remained in the room.
"How is it going?"
The Third Hokage took a puff from his pipe, his expression serious. "Has the Uchiha Clan made any drastic moves?"
"There's no problem," Shisui replied solemnly.
Being summoned alone made him a little excited, and he continued respectfully,
"Although some within the clan are dissatisfied with Konoha's leadership, Patriarch Uchiha Fugaku has managed to suppress them."
"Good."
Sarutobi Hiruzen nodded with satisfaction.
"Rest assured, Shisui," he said slowly. "The village's suppression of the Uchiha Clan is for their own good. Endure the momentary grievances, and a broader future will open up."
"I understand..."
Uchiha Shisui nodded firmly.
"Only by abandoning narrow familial pride can the Uchiha Clan truly embrace the greatness and warmth of the Will of Fire."
"Exactly!"
Sarutobi chuckled, puffing out smoke, looking as relieved as a proud old father.
"That reminds me..."
His expression suddenly shifted.
"What about Uchiha Ryunen? Has he reacted in any way?"
"No issues," Shisui replied indifferently.
"Although Ryunen is an elite shinobi in taijutsu, he's always been low-key and uninvolved with the clan's affairs."
"Is that so?"
Sarutobi thought for a moment and waved his hand dismissively.
"Ignore him. Without chakra and ninjutsu training, even if he's at the peak of his taijutsu skills, he's just an elite jonin at best. Nothing to worry about."
"Yes," Shisui nodded.
"Also, the patriarch's eldest son, Uchiha Itachi, seems quite interested in the Will of Fire."
"Itachi?"
A spark of interest flickered in Sarutobi's eyes.
"I'll find an opportunity to bring him to you secretly," Shisui offered.
"When the time comes, please personally guide him."
"No problem."
Sarutobi smiled. He was obviously very pleased with Shisui's loyalty.
Then, as if remembering something important, he leaned closer and said meaningfully,
"If something goes wrong with the Uchiha Clan... you have my permission to use Kotoamatsukami on Uchiha Fugaku."
"I understand."

A hidden partition in the wall opened, and Shimura Danzo stepped out.
"Ape Hiruzen," Danzo sneered, "you're even more ruthless than me. Suppressing the Uchiha Clan until they don't even dare to resist... wasting those Sharingan eyes of theirs."
"Danzo, watch your words."
Sarutobi frowned, exhaling a large puff of smoke.
"I'm not targeting the Uchiha Clan for no reason. Everything I do is for the peaceful development of Konoha."
"For peace?"
Danzo snorted.
"Isn't that what you said when you suppressed the Senju Clan too?"
"Enough!"
Sarutobi's gaze turned cold.
"Any clan that grows too strong becomes a threat to the village. I'm simply taking precautions."
"Tch."
Danzo shrugged mockingly.
"You've taken Shisui under your wing. Then... hand Uchiha Itachi over to me."
"No."
Sarutobi refused instantly.
"Itachi will stay under my guidance."
"Ape Hiruzen, you're going too far!"
Danzo's face twisted in anger.
"Leave," Sarutobi said coldly, waving him away.
"Hmph."
Danzo turned and left with a gloomy face.

Danzo sneered inwardly as he walked away.
If you won't give Itachi to me, I'll take him myself.
Since we've already started marginalizing the Uchiha Clan, it's only a matter of time before we eradicate them.
