Reincarnation

Meeting his friends after a long time was refreshing. Catching up latest happenings and news was a lot of fun. The hardest part was telling them about his decision to reincarnate.

Some of his friends took the news well and didn't have a big reaction as they have acutance's who have reincarnated before, but still thought he was crazy for going for it.

Others thought it was too risky and couldn't really understand why he would just give up everything he has now, his cultivation, his wealth, his power that he has achieved, for the slim chance that the second chance would make him stronger. It was mostly because almost all these that opted for reincarnation didn't achieve even a fraction of the power they had before reincarnation.

It took some time to convince them about his decision. Of course, he didn't tell them that he was going through this decision because he reached the limit of power that it was possible to have. Ahkin didn't want to influence his friends and have a negative impact on them.

He told them that he's going to reincarnate because of opportunity he stumbled upon on his travels. To fully get it, he needed to experience reincarnation. Well, it was mostly truth, he did get an opportunity, the one he created himself and needed to start everything from scratch to use it.

Leya was hardest to convince, she was the closest to him and knew him the best. She didn't really believe him as he explained his reason, but didn't called him out in front of all friends and waited to confront him later, when they were alone.

That confrontation was a little stressful for Asking, mostly from all the name calling, how some of the words could come from his bright and fun loving friend, he couldn't understand. He had to admit that some words were creative, he'd have to remember them, which could be useful.

He spent a lot of time convincing Leya, at one point he had to persuade her not to attempt reincarnation with him. Sometimes he really could not understand her thought process.

Leya only relented when he promised to contact her the moment, he regained his memories. Agreeing to the compromise, she finally accepted his decision even if reluctantly.

After saying goodbye to his friends for now, Ahkin left for one of the more dangerous regions of space. He needed some more time to complete the new cultivation method he had created and didn't want to be disturbed. The best place would be one that no one would go to.

He now stood before one of such regions. It was one that no one dared to go to, as it was very dangerous, and only he could venture here now, after reaching his cultivation level. So, it was the perfect place.

The region he chose is a place where the space storm was, with countless space turbulences and time loops that any cultivator would perish in. This storm was unique and so dangerous because of its strength and that this storm was in this place for so long that no one knows when it formed. And after such a long time, it didn't seem to be getting weaker at all.

Looking around at the turbulent space, Ahkin enveloped himself in his power, creating a transparent bubble, to protect himself. With that done, he went straight to the center of the storm.

Flying through the storm, didn't pose much of the problem for him. Looking around, he could see only space fissures all around him. Ahkin couldn't see any signs of planets or anything that could indicate this place could support life.

It took him a long time to get to the center as it was impossible to teleport directly, even for him.

The center of the storm was relatively calm and the turbulence wasn't so strong which was even better for him.

He also found some planets but they there desolate and none of them could support like. Ahkin expected this but it still disappointed him a little, he hoped to find something interesting.

Choosing one of the planets that was least impacted by the storm, he settled on it, preparing to begin his reincarnation.

Building a simple place for his needs, Ahkin dug out a cave in the side of the mountain, enforcing it with arrays to make it stronger and protect it from the occasional space turbulence. He also decided to reinforce the whole mountain, just to be on the safe side.

Settling into his new place, Ahkin didn't waste any time and started his work on finishing the new cultivation path he created.

For now, the path of cultivation he has created have all required steps to reach Integration stage. While it's not bad, he still needed some work to create cultivation process until Tribulation stage. When he reaches Tribulation, he would have experienced his cultivation firsthand and could more accurately define the next stage.

While Tribulation stage isn't impressive for him, it's the best he could do for now.

The method he created is largely based and existing cultivation path, but with a lot of modification. Considering the spirit energy, the least resistance path and integrating it all into himself. Ahkin tried to make it as encompassing as possible, to help his future cultivation.

One other task was much harder, he needed to create a technique or something for the reincarnation. The mainstream technique that others are using isn't suitable for him. The technique they're using is to force the spirit of the cultivator into a dormant state, to compress it. This is for preservation of memories and to prevent them from dissipating. The drawback is that it takes time before the memories of previous life begin return and in some extreme cases, new life memories overwhelm old ones, essentially killing the old person.

Ahkin couldn't use this method as it would only let him cultivate existing methods and not his own. The main problem was his spirit, as it's already integrated with the universe, and he needed a blank start. Just like a newborn that is a blank state, he needed to be unrestricted for his cultivation method to be valid.

Ahkin spent countless years trying to derive a reincarnation method that could meet his requirements. He wanted to remove all traces of universe from himself and retain his memories the moment he reincarnated. These there the most important. The second objective is the cleansing of his new body, while it's not as important as the first two, it could help him tremendously at the beginning, saving some time.

As years kept going by, Ahkin was getting closer and closer to his goal. As of now, he already finished with cultivation path, while he still hadn't completed it all, it was already at the stage where he could use it after reincarnation without a problem. Before reaching Tribulation stage, he wouldn't need to create the next chapter of the cultivation.

With only finishing touches of reincarnation method left, Ahkin started preparing the place in which he will attempt it.

'This turbulent space is a blessing in disguise. With this strong space storm, it has obscured me a little from the universe, making it easier for the next step.'

Ahkin looked around a different planet from one that he initially settled on. This place was much more dangerous, the surrounding space almost cut off this planet from the universe. It was perfect place to initiate reincarnation.

'I have already prepared all the arrays around the planet serving as the guide and protection. What's left is the core of the array, and I need to finish the trigger for reincarnation. While I would like to make it so I could be reborn after specific time, it would just make it impossible to have my body cleansed and I would have to tie reincarnation to existing law of time, which would let universe laws have a chance to influence me, and it would waste all this hard work.'

Having spent years on his task, Ahkin have thought about everything that could hinger him in his cultivation, trying to minimize the risks as much as possible.

Looking around the core array that was taking place, he felt a little sad. With not knowing where and when he will reincarnate, he didn't know when he will have a chance to see his friends again.

Shaking his head to clear depressing thoughts, Ahkin resumed his work of finishing the array.

More time gone by, and all the preparations there completed. Ahkin finished the array needed, his new cultivation method also revised and improved as much as possible. With everything completed it was time for the last thing that he needed to begin reincarnation.

Ahkin was flying out of space storm, moving at fast pace, having been here for a lot of time, he already was familiar with this region and could go in and out quickly.

'Need to find someone that's going to break through to the Tribulation stage. I think the best chance would be in the Central region but I don't want to affect someone that's a good person and ruin his chances for higher realm. It's better just to go to Blinding Darkness domain.

Making his decision, Ahkin increased his speed, flying out of the space storm. After getting out of the dangerous region, he immediately teleported to his destination.

Appearing in a space before the central planet of the domain, he scanned it, trying to find if there were anyone who would be attempting his breakthrough. Scanning whole planned took a little over a day, Ahkin was left disappointed as he didn't find anyone that met his requirements.

With this planet done, he left for the next, trying to find anyone that was trying to breakthrough.

Like that, Ahkin spend almost ten years going from planet to planet, looking for anyone that could meet his requirements. Just as he was going to give up and go to the Central region and pick anyone, not caring what kind of damage he would cause, Ahkin finally found someone.

In one of the more remote planets of Blinding Darkness domain, Ahkin found a sect master that's preparing for the Tribulation, and it looked like he would be going through it at any time. This person was a master of a demonic sect and Ahkin didn't feel bad about interfering in the breakthrough process.

Finally finding his target, Ahkin concealed himself between space layers and waited for the right moment.

The wait wasn't long, in just a couple of days he saw that the cultivator was beginning his breakthrough.

Dark clouds started gathering, a rumbling sound could be heard from the sky. The clouds there were much more darker than regular clouds and there were no rain.

In just a minute, the sky was dark, you could see occasional lighting arc in the clouds. As the rumbling intensified the first lighting descended, striking the sect leader.

'From the intensity of the lighting it's just the regular tribulation. That's good, as from the strength of that cultivator, he couldn't handle anything more powerful. I just hope he can make it to the end, I really don't want to waste more time looking for others.'

Ahkin waited as lighting struck cultivator in succession. Waited patiently, as he couldn't interfere for now.

As the last lighting struck, the clouds started to brighten, shrinking back to the center, above a sect master. As the cloud continued to shrink, it gained a golden hue.

Ahkin readied himself, preparing a special wine jar. The moment he saw the golden lighting descending, he appeared before it, using the jar in his hands to suck the lighting in.

The cultivator on the ground, who was ecstatic about his successful breakthrough, waiting for the blessings of the heavenly lighting to come down and truly step in the new realm, saw a man suddenly appear before descending lighting and making it disappear. He looked at the man, not understanding what and how could this happen.

"Noooo...!!! What have you done!!!"

Ahkin looked at the man shouting from the ground, and just waived his hand, making the enraged cultivator disappear. No need to leave him alive, it's more of the mercy, having endured tribulation but not being able to really step in the next realm, was like cutting of the path to cultivation, so Ahkin decided to spare the man needless hardships, even for a demonic cultivators, it's better to show this little mercy.

Ahkin didn't linger any longer and quickly left. Teleporting to the entrance of the space storm he flew through it at the fastest speed, he needed to quickly begin reincarnation process before golden lighting could dissipate.

'With this everything is ready. Using the Heavenly Lighting, I can remove all the traces of the universe from myself, the cost is steep for using it, but it's the safest option and one with most benefits.'

Arriving at already prepared place on the planet, Ahkin placed the wine jar at the designed place and he also sat at the center of the array, activating it immediately.

Whole planet lit up, with the brightest spot being the place where Ahkin sat. The planet also stopped spinning, coming to halt, intricate symbols and writings could be seen all around the planet, making it the brightest spot in the center of the storm.

After couple of minutes, the planet was covered in bright markings, which started receding to the place where Ahkin was. As the markings got more and more concentrated, the jar placed before Ahkin got destroyed and the golden lighting escaped. Before the lighting could get anywhere it got enveloped by densely packed markings, making it stuck in the same place.

The lighting before, beautiful golden color, started to lose its color, becoming transparent quickly. As the lighting lost its color it was redirect to Ahkin, enveloping him.

With that strange transparent lighting enveloping him, he started emitting white particles, disintegrating bit by bit.

As more time passed, the place where Ahkin was, it become the only place with the bright markings, enveloping Ahkin on cocoon.

In the center of it all, you couldn't see Ahkin anymore, just white mist floating around the transparent lighting.

With each minute that passed, the cocoon got smaller and smaller, shrinking on itself. The lighting that was in the center also started to turn white, absorbing the surrounding white mist, making it milky white.

As the last white mist was absorbed in the lighting, the cocoon was only the size of the person, having shrunken a lot. With the last white particles absorbed in the lighting, the bright cocoon also stopped shrinking.

The cocoon floated silently, with no reaction, like a big bright white egg.

It suddenly started to crack, more and more cracks appeared. As the whole white cocoon was riddled with cracks, It suddenly exploded, the power of the explosion enveloped whole planet, making it as bright as a sun.

As the light subsided, the place where a planet once was, now it was an empty space, no sign of it ever having a anything.

No bright light no planet and no Ahkin, everything disappeared.
