Chapter 24

"Are you sure?" He asked me. Ridiculous question, for crying out loud am just human or who else am I?

"I don't know" I answered trying to be diplomatic. I don't know why he's always making me look like a fool.

"Should I remind you and you pay the consequences attached to wasting my time or you think yourself. Are you ordinary? Are you just human?"

"I'm different, I know that but I'm flesh. I don't disappear like you do. I'm just Katrienair, not a ..." I remembered he said he wasn't a druid .I just hope he understood what I was saying.

"You are not just human. You are different, brilliant, powerful beyond measure. You are gifted because you are not Katrienair you are who you think you are. You are different and unique. And very soon you will find out that you are more powerful than I am." He paused. I just stared at him. "There are a lot of powers within you and all you need to do is to discover and nurture them. Make them perfect. So now you are going to control this arrow right now"

He shot one at me. I screamed in terror cause I knew nothing to do. He has not taught me anything as far as I'm concerned. He stopped the arrow himself after I'd screamed all me life out.

"Don't get me angry Katrienair or I'll leave" he warned.

"i'm sorry" i said.

"Summon your power. You have the ability to control everything you want in your world. You are not an ordinary child, you are connected to nature and all that is in it. You can control anything. First, become the thing itself. If you want to control an arrow become the arrow." I was listening carefully. "Feel the arrow itself, study the pattern to which it move through the air. Become the arrow and control it. Tell it to hang up and it would."

Really, he's saying it like it's that simple.

"Close your eye and make your imaginations reality"

He moved backwards and shot at me. I didn't want to disappoint this time. I closed my eyes and summoned all the power I had in me but nothing came . I felt charged somehow, the chains,I felt bound and it looked like my heart was bound also. I saw the arrow fall down few inches away from where I stood. I opened my eyes and saw him standing buy my side.

"Not perfect" t he said

The fact was that she didn't know that she was the one that shows the arrow. Maybe because i relented. I thought it wasn't going to work. Wow,so I can do it.

"Again please" I was beginning to sound confident.

He shot this time too many at a time and and I tried to keep my eyes closed and hold all the arrows in the air. I felt like I was using all my energy to do it. After a while, he stopped and I was relieved. I relaxed and watched the arrows drop to the ground.

"You are not perfect yet "he began "but I'm not training you to be perfect. I'm just teaching you the basics. You will have to find out more by yourself. So the next task now is to test your ability to use your mind... "

It was hot, a bit sour. It wasn't water, it was something else. Like an energy drink because after drinking I felt like I could break away those chains myself. I felt my power renewed and even doubled. He noticed I was trying to break the chains so he warned.

"do not do anything stupid, katrienair. You might feel you have all the power in the world but once it is wasted, it can't be renewed. I understand how tempting it is to feel powerful but that water might be the only one you will have till you're out of here. "

My mind was burning with questions.

"Will I ever be out of here? "

Suddenly the lights went off. Then I realized that it was his green light that gave light to the room. Maybe I'm in a dungeon. I'm definitely imprisoned in an unknown land. Only God knows how I got hell in the first place.

I thought he had gone until I heard his voice in the dark.

"Katrienair, locate this arrows in the dark, get ready! "

I was scared. Fighting in the dark, in absolute darkness. How the hell am I going to do it? I closed my eyes trying to get a feel of my surrounding, I studied the disturbance in the air but it was too late when I found it. I could not stop it. It fell right beside me. I was happy he missed his target.

"Katrienair, I'm not teaching you anything again. Think or you get hurt. Focus, that's the key. " he shot another one again.

I tried again but it did not work. I felt like a failure. Why can't I just focus?

Wow, so I'll be here till tomorrow.

"Wait, can you please tell me how I got here and what l'm doing here. " I swallowed. "please why are you training me? "

I rushed three questions in one hoping he answers.

He said some things to Luna and I saw her jump. She's awake!

He then glared at me. "I will not answer your questions Katrienair " he vanished and my world turned black again.
