The next morning Julian was surmmoned before the council. He has a big case in his hands now. Talking back at the leader in that manner in the presence of the whole assembly. What could have justified that act? He has disgraced the royal family and he will have to pay dearly for it. Well, Julian had other plans. The demons might think only rules, doctrine, laws and powers rule but the few years he has spent on Earth with humans has taught him that wisdom rules and you can talk to yourself out of any situation instead of wasting your powers. Right now, he's got what this fierce looking old men might think they have but do not.
" Prince Julian. You violated the rule of..."
" I know that ." He cut them short. Really, he's not in the right state of mind to listen to their quotation of the law. He's known this all his life and right now, every minute counts.
" What do you have to say for yourself?" One of the council chief said. " Why did you do such a thing?"
"I've got nothing to say for now." He smirked.
Whispers and gossips filled the air. This council chiefs might never grow up, they comment on almost everything.
'What an irresponsible crown prince we have!'
The noise died down after some time and the old chief sitted at the right hand of the king continued his job.
"You know there are grave punishments." He grinned. Who won't be happy that the undisputable crown prince is getting judged by the council just few weeks after his coronation?
"I know everything." He scoffed. " I know my punishments and I'm not pleading for your forgiveness. So why waste your time judging me when there are more pressing matters that should be discussed in this council. This council is in a very critical state. Our activities h re will have effect on every single member and none of you seated here have observed anything. Instead, you judge a good prince."
An argument arose among the council men. They saw it as an insult.
"You! What are you saying?!" One of them shouted, the others joined in. The room became in a chaos and Julian was busy enjoying the moment.
" These people haven't changed." He thought.
When Roger felt he had had enough he waved his hand and the room fell silent again.
"Julian," He said."What are you talking about this time?"
"Thank you your Majesty."He lowered his head. " The Young lad in the dungeon, I think we have underestimated her too much. In our holy book, at the Íkram, the book of prophesy. It was predicted that there will come a time in the reign of the eight king of this coven, which is my father, The chosen one will come into the world to reign. He holds the glory of the world, doesn't the sudden appearance of a young lad who claims to belong to no one and who survived out holy water ignite in you questions? I know everyone of you would have read this same passage of our book but have ignorantly shrugged off the words of our ancestors. We have a great asset in our hands and all we all is thinking of is to kill her. We are very lucky to have her on our midst, remember the chosen one come only once and whichever team she supports rule the world with her."
The room was silent. In fact at that moment if a pin dropped, it would give a fitting sound. They were thinking. Julian could not help but smile. Though, it was a part of his plan but all he just said is the real truth. In and simple sense ,he just opened their eye to what they have chosen not to see.
"Prince Julian," the council chief decided to break the awful silence."Do you know the implications of what you just said?"
"Of course I do. I know everything . I just can't say all I know. Why do you think I risk my life and honour to stop you from killing her? "
" What do you propose Julian?"
Just the question he's been expecting them to ask.
" We should not let her go. She's a rare gem, and will be of great use to our kingdom. She should be forced to join our army. She could win many wars for us with her special powers. We should take this as an opportunity father, to take the white coven and own the whole world."
They were silent again and Julian was beaming in his heart. After A while , the council chief said
" that does not justify your act. You will still have to be punished anyways." Others nodded their head on agreement.
"He will get his punishment when the time comes." Roger said."for now, his presumed wisdom should be considered. But of course he can't escape any punishment in my territory." He grinned at his son.
" Thank you father." Julian bowed a bit and walked out.
