After training that day, I invited Kabal over to my inner resting room to talk-- I had some questions for him. The little boy I rescued some weeks ago, now looks like a warrior. He's skilled and swift, that piqued my interest and now I'm ready to listen to him.
"Good day sire" he curtsized "you sent for me"
"Sit" he sat on a stool a distance away. "Tell me about you---I mean how you got here."
"I'm honored sire" he bowed. " i got here as a slave when the demons took over our part of the white coven. They were able to get break our shield, cause they got the key. Some of us were killed, my uncle, the king and my father was killed. Though, i was still a toddler but my mother told me all i know about that day. We were forced to take the mark sire."
"You mean you're a witch" I never expected demons to be so naive... to the extent of harbouring witches, thinking enslaving them would make them quit fighting. Apparently, that has worked but not to all of them. I mean-- kabal doesn't look like a quitter to me
" Yes sire." he muttered. " but the war between witches and dmons never ends. Light can never withstand darkness."
True but what does he mean by that?
" But you are our warrior now and you'll be sent to fight your people. Didn't you think of that? "
"I don't have a choice sire."
"Are you hiding anything from me Kabal? Why do I think you are lying ?"
"Curse me if I lie sire." He swore. "I have sworn allegiance to this kingdom and I will not hesitate to defend them. I love my people also but they betrayed themselves. My cousin gave us up for pieces of silver and gold. He sold us out and our shield got broken."
I sighed. " what's your real name? "
"Tristan."
"Hm...you know you can trust me right? Be rest assured that whatever you said here today would not be used against you. I understand your pain and might be willing to help."
He bowed. " I'm honored sire. Thank you very much. "
"I want to be able to trust you to. I should not hear from any soul about our meeting here today. Do you understand?"
"I swear with my life sire, no one will know."
"You can go"
it was time to go home but my subconscious did not let me. i'm scared to face julian after what emiliar said to me last night. My mind has been messing arond ever since. i avoided him at the training but right now he's outside the inner room doing some things with the member of the silver. i'm scared of his eyes... I don' trust myself...at least not in this type of situation. The back door leads to the dungeon, that is my only escape route. By the way, visiting the dungeon has always been a big dream for me. I picked up my coat, fortunately Rose was at the back of the door already waiting for me --loyal horse. My body guards volunteered to accompany me but i rejected hem. The truth is that i needed to be alone, at least now to get all those messy stuff off my head. The dungeon... That dark underground house is the best place to be right now.
As I moved closer and a dead dark silence filled the air. All I could think of was the fact that I was locked up here some weeks ago. In a world that twenty four hours doesn't count, that might have been months ago. I was so lost in thoughts that I didn't notice how deep underground I've gone. I was hearing thoughts but... Very slight that I can't anything from it. As I moved further underground I heard a continuous cry of a lady, getting sharper and louder as I moved. Curious, I followed the direction of the sound. it led to an open area, an isolated cage, one different from the others was guarded by hundreds of fiercely looking demons. There was a mark on the ground that differentiated the land I said on from the miraculous snow land. I felt like I was in a mirage or a dream. Her cries continued and I had to cross the line. Just as I did, I was charged at from every angle. I was faster anyways. I flung a spear towards the right, sending multitude of them falling on their faces, then a ball of energy to my attacker in front. I was outnumbered and I knew very soon I'll run out of energy. A demon attacked me from behind, I knocked him over and slot his throat. I did that to everyone and anyone. The lady's cries continued and I was glad that I'm getting closer to her. As soon as I got to the cage, I yanked the door open and entered. The guards there — fast and alert, sent all their weapons, I had to hang them in the air. They were awestruck and I had the chance to take a good look at the girl. She had golden hair, her face hidden between hot stones. There was a green stuff but I side. I didn't have a good look before the door flung open and more guards rushed in and attacked me. In no time, I was pinned to the ground. As the brought their weapons down to my back. I heard a familiar roar.
"EVERYONE FREEZE!"
